The question the CIA and military won't pose publicly is whether we need to defend against our off-world family and the answer seems to be a resounding NO, we don't, but creating wars against non-threats is the business of the good ol' USA and fighting aliens is one that can be milked by bankers and defense contractors till the end of humanity.

Bullshit. Their origin, intent and technology are well known by elements in the intelligence community and "defense" contractors and it is known that they are not hostile. Quite the opposite actually, evidenced by their temporary disarming of nuclear missiles while were still siloed, a little trick they've pulled off at least 3 or 4 times that i'm aware of.

The problem is not the ETs, but rather the "intelligence" community and defense contractors running illegal black projects absent government oversight that deal with captured and reverse engineered ET technology. These projects have churned out highly advanced, anti-gravity vehicles that could be used to fake an alien invasion and we know as far back as 2001, via Wernher von Braun's assistant, that this has indeed been the plan for decades.
