Houthi's "beg" Trump to stop bombing (and what REALLY happened)
Followers of my writings are aware that it is only sporadically that i post about the various wars and genocides the U.S. is involved in and normally the news would have to be significant before i'd bother with it. Well, this is twice significant, firstly because it's an important, albeit embarrassing development, and secondly, because it's a stellar example of the lying Zionist braggart in the Oval Office shoving both left feet in his mouth, yet again.
According to Trump, Yemen's Houthi's (Ansar Allah) begged him to stop bombing their country (i assume they were referring to the war crimes being committed by the U.S. in Yemen since it seems to be mostly civilians being slaughtered).
"They said, please don't bomb us anymore and we're not going to attack your ships," said Trump. "And I will accept their word, and we are going to stop the bombing of the Houthis effective immediately."
"They say they will not be blowing up ships anymore, and that was the purpose of what we've been doing," Trump said. "I think that's very positive. They were knocking out a lot of ships sailing beautifully down the various seas."
So previously the Houthi's, who are fighting for the lives of the Palestinians, have forced a U.S. carrier group to evacuate the Red Sea, destroyed somewhere around 20 (and counting) U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drones at a cost of around $30+ million dollars each and caused the U.S. to lose a very expensive fighter jet after it fell off of the carrier due to the captain having to take emergency evasive action to avoid an incoming munition. In other words, the U.S. military has been unable to deter this poor little nation for the last 24 years it has been harassing it, but suddenly the Houthi's are begging for the bombing to stop?
Right. Now let's see what really happened...
U.S. Ends Operation Against Houthis After Losing Another Super Hornet Jet | South Front
In the Houthis' first reaction to Trump's announcement, Mahdi al-Mashat, the head of the group's Supreme Political Council, said that attacks "in support of Gaza" will continue. He advised Israelis to "remain in shelters" because their government will not be able to protect them.
The head of the Houthis' supreme revolutionary committee, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, later said on the X social network that the U.S. halt of "aggression" against Yemen will be evaluated while also suggesting that his group will continue attacking Israel.
When asked later about Houthi pledges to continue attacks against Israel, Trump responded, "I'll discuss that if something happens."
Ah, so apparently the Houthi's made no such deal to stop attacking Israel-bound shipping. The article continues:
Following Trump's announcement, U.S. Navy revealed that an F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter jet, worth nearly $70 million, went overboard after an unsuccessful attempt to slow it down upon landing on the USS Harry S. Truman. The aircraft carrier led the operation against the Houthis from the Red Sea.
[...]
The latest incident followed the loss of another fighter jet, an F/A-18E, in an accident aboard the Truman last week in which the aircraft tumbled overboard after sailors aboard lost control of it while towing it in the hangar bay.
The cost of the U.S. operation against the Houthis is reported to be over $1 billion. The number does not likely include the price of the seven MQ-9 Reaper combat drones shot down by Houthi air defenses, estimated at around $200 millions, nor the price of the two F/A-18 lost at sea.[...]
Overall, the ceasefire represents a victory for the Houthis. Now, the Israelis will have to face the group some 2,000 kilometers away from their border on their own.
So that's two very expensive fighter in addition to a pile of MQ-9 Reaper drones that were lost in Trump's "state of the art" military. Pretty damn embarrassing, wouldn't you say?
From Larry Johnson, former CIA:
During Donald Trump's press gaggle in the Oval Office, he mentioned in passing that the Houthis had called begging the US to stop bombing, and Trump, gracious man that he is, agreed. The Houthis have surrendered... at least that is the spin from the White House. NOT SO FAST. Trump, true to his style, was doing a major gaslighting job.
Here is what really happened:
"The cease-fire agreement with the Iran-backed Houthis announced today by President Trump was reached over the past several days with the mediation of Oman and negotiations led by U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, officials said."
"A Pentagon official confirms that both the Navy and Air Force have already been ordered to cease any further hostile action against the Houthis."
It was not the Houthis who cried, Uncle Sam... it was the United States. It was easy for the Houthis to promise to stop shooting missiles at US vessels because there will no longer be any US vessels in the Red Sea. This reminds me of the US declaring victory in Vietnam on April 30, while the North Vietnamese army took control of Saigon. Score this as a victory for the Houthis. Since March 15, the US lost seven drones, three F/A-18 Hornets and expended an estimated $3 billion while flying more than 1,000 sorties. While scores of Yemeni citizens were killed by US bombs, and Yemen suffered significant damage to infrastructure, the US failed to break the Houthis' will to fight. (NOTE -- CNN reported today that another F/A-18 Hornet was lost at sea, which is why I list "three" instead of "two" in the preceding sentence.)
Johnson puts the number of U.S. drones lost at 7 since 15-March, but the total number is 21:
Houthis Shot Down Second U.S. MQ-9 Combat Drone Within 24 Hours | South Front
The Houthis (Ansar Allah) shot down an MQ-9 Reaper combat drone of the United States military on April 19, the second in less than 24 hours.
The MQ-9 was shot down while conducting "hostile operations" over the region surrounding the capital, Sanaa, Houthi military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said in a statement, noting that the drone was targeted with "a locally-made surface-to-air missile."
"This was the second drone our air defenses have successfully shot down in 24 hours and the sixth during the current month of April. This brings the number of drones shot down during the Battle of the Promised Victory and Holy Jihad to 21," the spokesman added."
Trump Capitulated to Yemen after US Bombs FAILED to Stop Red Sea Blockade -Laith Marouf
Trump has announced that the U.S. will stop bombing Yemen, after his administration made an agreement with Ansar Allah, in which he said the Houthis "capitulated," and "will not be blowing up ships anymore."
This comes amid reports that the U.S. Navy just lost a second $60 Million jet in the Red Sea, with the U.S. Military refusing to say what happened to it.
Palestinian-Syrian Journalist Laith Marouf noted that while Trump is trying to take credit for the deal, Ansar Allah has been offering to stop targeting American ships in the Red Sea, in exchange for an end to U.S. bombings in Yemen. And the deal that was made still allows Ansar Allah to target Israel and Israel-linked ships in the Red Sea... so the U.S. is really the side that "capitulated."
Does this sound like a whipped enemy "begging" the fat-ass Zionist real estate mogul to "please" stop attacking them?
I'll close with the following, published yesterday:
Yemen warns Israel after aggression: Response is coming
A senior Yemeni official has issued a stern warning to the Israeli regime following the latter's intense aerial aggression against the Arab Peninsula nation.
"The response is coming," Mohammad Ali al-Houthi, a high-ranking member of Yemen's Supreme Political Council, said on Tuesday.
He asserted that the nation would sustain its unyielding support for the Gaza Strip -- which has been suffering under a genocidal United States-backed Israeli war since October 2023 -- by continuing to target the occupied Palestinian territories.
"The Yemeni people will not be intimidated by American and Israeli terrorism," the official added, referring to both the Israeli aggression and other airstrikes against the country by the United States, Tel Aviv's biggest ally.
