UPDATE 1:
Why this American vassal is suddenly defying its master - RT World News
The Trump administration has been having a rough few months.
Domestic chaos - fuelled by the use of black clad, masked para-military squads to deport illegal immigrants - has fused with the deepening foreign policy crises resulting from Trump's support for the doomed right-wing Zelensky and Netanyahu regimes.
And if this were not bad enough, last week Trump escalated his disruption of the global economic order by imposing yet more tariffs on the EU and other countries that are ostensibly American allies.
Add to that the establishment of an "Alligator Alcatraz" in Florida and Trump's recently revealed threat to "bomb the sh*t out of Russia and China," and it's no surprise that even Trump's core MAGA supporters are becoming increasingly dissatisfied with a president who promised them that he would swiftly end the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza and restore America's economic prosperity. They are also up in arms at the White House's refusal to release Jeffrey Epstein's client list, suspecting a self-serving cover up.
ROX• TV | Israel continues brutal war on Palestinians
More than 142,100 Palestinians injured in Israeli assault since October 2023, Health Ministry says
At least 59,029 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023, the Health Ministry said on Monday.
A ministry statement said that 134 bodies were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, while 1,155 people were injured, taking the number of injuries to 142,135 in the Israeli onslaught.
"Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them," it added.
The ministry also noted that 99 Palestinians were killed and over 650 injured while trying to get humanitarian aid in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of Palestinians killed while seeking aid to 1,021, with over 6,511 others wounded since May 27.
The Israeli army resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18 and has since killed 8,196 people and injured 30,094 others, shattering a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that took hold in January.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.

US corporations and military planners welcome the 'legal maneuver space' Israel has opened up for them to profit from warfare that slaughters and starves civilians
The Financial Times revealed this month that a cabal of Israeli investors, one of the world's top business consulting groups and a think-tank headed by former British prime minister Tony Blair had been secretly working on plans to exploit the ruins of Gaza as prime real estate.
The secret consortium appears to have been seeking practical ways to realise US President Donlad Trump's "vision" of Gaza as the "Riviera of the Middle East": transforming the small coastal enclave into a playground for the rich and an enticing investment opportunity, once it can be ethnically cleansed of its Palestinian population.

Strait of Hormuz and the strategic calculus of Iran's deterrence doctrine - Tehran Times
TEHRAN - For decades, the Strait of Hormuz has remained one of the most sensitive geopolitical chokepoints in the world. This narrow waterway, which links the Persian Gulf to the Sea of Oman and extends beyond to international waters, serves not only as a major artery for global energy flows but also as a flashpoint for regional and international security dynamics.
According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), more than 20 million barrels of crude oil pass through the strait each day, accounting for approximately one-fifth of global oil trade. It is also a key conduit for liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments, further enhancing its strategic importance.
Yet the significance of Hormuz transcends oil flows. As tensions rise between Iran and Western-aligned powers-particularly with continued Israeli military activities targeting Iranian assets in Syria, Lebanon, and even within Iranian territory itself, coupled with U.S. military build-up in the region-Tehran has consistently warned that no act of aggression will go unanswered. One of the strategic options frequently cited in both official and unofficial channels is Iran's ability to disrupt or suspend maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz as part of a calibrated deterrence or retaliatory response.
