Israel is doing a damn fine imitation of Lt. Frank Drebin, a character played by Leslie Nielsen in the 1988 comedy film The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! In an iconic scene, Lt. Drebin stands in front of a fireworks explosion and chaos while trying to calm the crowd by saying:

Despite the absurd mayhem behind him, he earnestly pretends that nothing is wrong-a hallmark of the film's slapstick, deadpan humor. That's exactly what Israel is doing in the wake of 12 days of Iranian missile attacks all across the length of Israel. Iran claims it attacked almost all scientific, research, and academic centers, factories and industries affiliated with Rafael and Elbit Systems, as well as other arms manufacturing and artificial intelligence factories. For example, Iran claims it destroyed Intel's chip manufacturing plant, located in the occupied settlement of Kiryat Gat south of Tel Aviv. If true, this has inflicted as much as $5 billion in losses on the Zionist regime. How soon people have forgotten that, earlier this year, the US dispatched two carrier strike groups and a half-dozen B-2s (and other USAF assets) to disarm the Yemeni and open the selectively blockaded Red Sea.
They failed. Abysmally. For the second time!
First of all, in 2024, the USS Brave Sir Robin (CVN-69), USS Teddy Bear (CVN-71), and USS Fraidy Abe (CVN-72) gave it a try, only to eventually run away with their tail between their legs. The Brave Sir Robin left behind an F/A-18 at the bottom of the sea.
They were followed up by the USS Trembling Puppy (CVN-75) and the USS Timid Vinny (CVN-70). But they fared no better, with the Trembling Puppy losing two additional F/A-18 fighters over the course of its traumatic tour of the northern Red Sea.
And, not only did the Yemeni increase their score of MQ-9 Reaper drones to 23, they also targeted and credibly threatened both F-35s and B-2s, such that both platforms were summarily withdrawn from the fight for fear of one getting shot down.
Remember, Yemen is absolutely the bottom rung on the escalatory ladder of formidable adversaries.
Anyone who seriously believes the US Navy can operate in Iranian waters is just plain delusional.
- US President Donald Trump said on Friday that he believes it is possible that a ceasefire in Gaza will be reached within a week. He did not elaborate on how this will be achieved.
- Israeli troops have admitted to deliberately shooting and killing unarmed Palestinians waiting for aid in the Gaza Strip, following direct orders from their superiors. This is according to soldiers and officers who spoke to the Haaretz newspaper.
- The Gaza government media office condemned the discovery of oxycodone pills in flour bags distributed by the US-Israeli aid scheme, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).
- The head of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies said that 50 team members have now been killed in Gaza.
- The Quds Brigades, working alongside the Qassam Brigades, said on Friday that they ambushed a group of Israeli soldiers using heavy mortar shells near the Halima Mosque, south of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. The Israeli military has yet to confirm any losses.
A recent poll conducted by the American "Harris-Harvard" institute and published by the Zionist newspaper Maariv revealed a notable decline in positive American views toward "Israel," dropping from 53% to 41% since the start of the war on Gaza.
Meanwhile, opposition to "Israel" rose from 21% to 30%.
The poll also indicated that nearly half of young Americans expressed support for the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas-a finding the newspaper described as "extremely concerning."
The Palestinian Resistance's security platform, "Al-Haris," warned on Friday against circulating or recharging unknown-source "Israeli" SIM cards, which are being airdropped by reconnaissance aircraft across various areas of the Gaza Strip.
The platform accused the Zionist enemy of attempting to use these SIM cards as tools for infiltration and espionage.
In a statement, Sabah al-Numan, a spokesman for the Iraqi military, said that the two targeted radars were deployed at Camp Taji, to the north of the capital, Baghdad, and at Imam Ali Base in the southern province of Dhi Qar province, in southern Iraq.

Similar small drones were sighted over Ali Air Base and the nearby Nasiriyah Central Prison on June 27, according to Iraqi media.
The attacks appear to be particularly similar to the ones carried out by Israel's Mossad spy agency against Iranian radars and air defenses during the war. Thus, it is very possible that the attacks on the Iraqi radars were also carried out by Israel with the aim of gaining operational freedom in the country's airspace.
The Iraqi air defense network is very weak and relies only on short-range air defense systems. The country made no effort to close its airspace as it was being used by Israel to attack Iran, but it may have shared radar information with Tehran giving it advanced warning of incoming attacks.
Israel is now preparing for a new military campaign against Iran. Defense Minister Israel Katz said on June 27 that he had instructed the military to "prepare an enforcement plan against Iran that includes maintaining Israel's air superiority, preventing nuclear advancement and missile production, and responding to Iran for supporting terror activity against Israel."
The Government Media Office in Gaza revealed on Friday the discovery of narcotic pills inside flour bags originating from so-called "death trap" centers, referring to US-Israeli aid facilities.
In a statement obtained by Yemen News Agency (Saba), the office condemned this as a heinous crime targeting civilian health and Palestinian social cohesion, expressing grave concern over finding Oxycodone pills in flour distributed through these centers.

TEHRAN - The modern world, crafted in the image of the West, has always had its enforcers - figures who, under the banner of international law, primarily served the interests of Western powers and their prized colonial venture, Israel.
The current Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is one of these people. He, however, is a league of his own. Rafael Grossi's disgracefulness, his sheer audacity, and his utter lack of genuine concern for the very laws he is entrusted to uphold surpass even the most egregious Western puppets who have come before him.
Driven by Grossi's politically motivated reports, the IAEA Board of Governors passed an anti-Iran resolution on June 12, alleging Iran's non-compliance with its nuclear obligations. Within a day, Israel launched a series of aggressive actions on Iranian soil, targeting high-ranking military figures, nuclear scientists, civilians, and the country's nuclear sites. Less than ten days after the initial Israeli attacks, American B-2 bombers struck Iranian nuclear facilities once more. Both regimes cited Iran's "non-compliant" actions as justification for their strikes.
Despite the clear illegality of these attacks under international law, Grossi offered no condemnation.
US President Donald Trump on Friday said that he has halted efforts to ease sanctions on Iran, following the statements by Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei claiming "victory" during the so-called 12-day war, and also saying that Trump's order for Iran to surrender was a "statement [that] is too big to come out of the US president's mouth".
Speaking on Israeli Channel 13 on Thursday, Raviv Drucker, an Israeli journalist and political commentator, pointed to the precision of Iranian missiles that hit the occupied territories as Iran retaliated to the imposed war of aggression.
The analyst said the missile and drone barrages targeted military and strategic infrastructure across the occupied territories, which settlers are unaware of, owing to strict media censorship.
"There were a lot of missiles that hit the IDF (Israeli occupation military) bases as well as strategic sites that we still don't report about to this day," he said in a rare admission.
He cited the attack on the Mossad-affiliated Weizmann Institute as one of the few cases that settlers know about, as it was widely reported by foreign media outlets and appeared on social media.
The media blackout, Drucker pointed out, created a "situation where people don't realize how precise the Iranians were and how much damage they caused in many places."
An investigation conducted by the Israeli outlet Haaretz has uncovered that Israeli soldiers have received orders to shoot unarmed, starving Palestinians near food aid distribution centers in Gaza, even in the absence of any threat. Soldiers characterised these locations as a "killing field." Soldiers who spoke with Haaretz indicated that the directives to fire were explicit: "shoot to deter individuals from approaching aid centres both before and after their opening". One soldier referred to the strategy as "Operation Salted Fish"-the name of the Israeli version of the children's game "Red light, green light," where Palestinians are effectively killed while awaiting UN food trucks. Accounts from soldiers disclosed that the IDF employed machine guns, tanks, grenade launchers, and mortars against crowds.
