Israel violates ceasefire, Hezbollah responds with 44+ attacks; Iran clamps Strait; Handala hacks Israel's Army Chief of Staff - IRAN WAR NEWS - 9-Aug-2026 (update 3)

Trump, Hegseth claim TOTAL VICTORY! Every single objective achieved! WE WON! Let's have a look at exactly what's been achieved as of the ceasefire that "Iran begged for" as Hegseth falsely claimed:

  • ballistic missile program destroyed: LOL!!! Iran says 15k missiles and 45k drones left and they're constantly building more, and that's just a portion of their arsenal.
  • nuclear enrichment program destroyed: Nope
  • enriched uranium seized: Nah. Looks like the US may have tried and lost possibly as many as a dozen aircraft in the process.
  • destroyed Iran's navy: Well, part of it. The best yet to come if/when US continues to FAFO.
  • destroyed Iran's air force: Inconsequential. Iran hasn't had a viable air force in forever. How many aircraft you lose Pete?
  • nuclear weapon threat eliminated: Iran was never a threat, but it might be now. They're considering abandoning the NPT.
  • Iranian's overthrow their government: AHH HA HAAA!!!
  • 'regime' change: Not quite and the new Ayatollah is more anti-US than pop was.
  • sanctions lifted on Iran's oil: Check!
  • Strait open to US/Israel shipping: Nope!
  • Strait under Iranian control: Yep, and there's now a toll booth whereas it was free before, payable in Yuan.
  • petrodollar saved: No, but BRICS is looking better and better.
  • US GCC bases obliterated: *POOF*
  • US presence in Gulf states: Yeah, that's over.
  • US presence in Iraq: AWOL. They grabbed their underoos and BOLTED!
  • threat to Israel eliminated: No. And fuck Israel.

US military army reinforces its forces in the Middle East despite ceasefire agreement with Iran - Yemen Press Agency

SANAA, April. 09 (YPA) - Navigation data revealed active movement of US Air Force military cargo and refueling aircraft toward the Middle East region, despite the ceasefire agreement with Iran.

Israeli Missile Interceptors Have Dwindled to "Double Digits": Trump Administration Official

On the eve of the tenuous ceasefire reached between the United States, Israel, and Iran, the number of ballistic missile interceptors left in Israel's arsenal had dwindled to "double digits," according to a Trump administration source with knowledge of the situation.

The critical shortage had led Israeli military officials to be significantly more selective when confronting ballistic missile attacks from Iran as well as from Yemen, which recently entered the conflict in a limited fashion. "They're having to pick and choose what they shoot down," the official told Drop Site.

[...]

The number of missile defense interceptors that a country has remaining is typically treated as highly classified information because of what it reveals about their capacity to continue a war. Despite not being forthcoming about these figures, it has still been possible to estimate Israeli reserves based on knowledge of prewar stockpiles and estimates of expenditures during the current conflict.

A recent analysis by The Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies, a London-based think tank with ties to British intelligence, spells out the difficulty facing Israeli defenses. Drawing on data from the Payne Institute for Public Policy to calculate pre-war stocks, RUSI did the basic math to find that by March 24, Israel had expended 122 of its 150 Arrow 2 and Arrow 3 missiles, as well as 22 of its 48 THAAD missiles.

These interceptors are both expensive and time-consuming to replace. Each Arrow interceptor costs $2-3 million dollars and takes months to produce, whereas a THAAD interceptor, which can stop a ballistic missile in its terminal descent phase, costs a staggering $12 million per unit. In many cases, multiple interceptors are required to confront a single ballistic missile.

Qalibaf: 'Time running out' for US-Israel to honor ceasefire, stop attacks on Lebanon

Speaker of Iran's Parliament Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf has warned the United States and the Israeli regime that "time is running out," stressing that any attempt to exclude Lebanon or the Axis of Resistance from the recently brokered ceasefire will meet a firm and decisive response.

Posting on X on Thursday night, Qalibaf quoted Iran's official position paper that leaves no room for misinterpretation or backtracking. The document, part of a 10-point proposal underpinning the ceasefire, explicitly states:

1. Lebanon and the entire Resistance Axis, as Iran's allies, form an inseparable part of the ceasefire.

2. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif publicly and clearly stressed the Lebanon issue during the Islamabad talks; there is no room for denial or backtracking.

3. Ceasefire violations carry explicit costs and STRONG responses. Extinguish the fire immediately.

Leveraging Strait of Hormuz, Iran turns US sanctions on its head

In a significant shift in the global energy landscape, India, the world's third-largest importer of crude oil, has resumed buying oil from Iran after a seven-year hiatus.

[...]

Beyond India, the broader implications of Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz are profound.

While Washington has long used its financial influence to impose sanctions on adversaries, Tehran's control over this vital energy chokepoint has now provided it with a tool to strike back.

This shift in power dynamics marks a reconfiguration of the global balance of power. The US has long assumed that its control over the international financial system, including the dominance of the dollar, would insulate it from any challenges to its global leadership.

But by shifting the focus of sanctions from financial systems to control over crucial energy infrastructure, Iran has introduced a new dimension to the economic and geopolitical competition.

In practical terms, this has meant that a disruption to global oil flows, even a temporary one, can cause ripple effects that immediately affect the price of oil and fuel in the US.

April 9: Hezbollah's operations against Zionist regime in response to truce breach

Hours after Iran and the United States announced a ceasefire ending 40 days of aggression against the Islamic Republic, the Israeli regime violated the truce on Wednesday by launching devastating strikes on civilian areas across Lebanon.

In response, the Hezbollah resistance movement carried out a series of retaliatory strikes on Thursday, targeting multiple Israeli military and strategic installations.

A 9-year-old Palestinian girl was killed after being shot by Israeli forces while attending class in a tent set up for education at Abu Ubayda bin Jarrah School in northern Gaza, Anadolu reports.

The child, identified as Ritac Abdurrauf Reyhan, was taken to Al-Shifa Hospital in critical condition but later died despite medical efforts.

The incident occurred inside a temporary classroom tent with reports of panic among those present at the time of the shooting.

Palestine in Pictures: March 2026 | The Electronic Intifada

Israeli forces and settlers killed more than 100 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip during March while US and Israeli strikes have killed at least 1,900 people in Iran and Israeli attacks killed more than 1,460 people in Lebanon, as of 5 April.

Fifteen Palestinians in the West Bank were killed by Israeli forces and another six people were killed by settlers during the month. Additionally, one man died from a tear gas injury during a military raid and another man died from his injuries after being shot during a raid in February.

Eight people have been killed by settlers in the West Bank so far this year, compared to at least seven during all of 2025, as of 31 March.

At least 1,078 Palestinians in the West Bank have been killed by Israeli forces or settlers since 7 October 2023, "nearly one in five of whom were children," according to the UN human rights office.

At least 85 people were killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza during March. Most attacks struck residential buildings, tents for internally displaced people and shelters, as well as public gatherings, the UN office said.

Israel bombed Gaza on 36 of the past 40 days while the war raged in Iran | US-Israel war on Iran News | Al Jazeera

US & Israel Bomb 307+ Medical Facilities in Iran Carrying on Long Tradition of Targeting Medical Workers

The United States and Israel are systematically targeting hospitals in Iran. In one month of bombing, the two countries have hit at least 307 health centers across the country, according to reports from the Iranian Red Crescent.

The carefully planned destruction of the Islamic Republic's medical infrastructure fits into a long history of deliberate U.S. attacks on hospitals. Since the end of World War Two, Washington has targeted medical centers in at least 16 countries, and the 307 Iranian sites hit does not even come close to the record for the number of hospitals in any country destroyed by American bombs and missiles.

U.S. Lost Eight MQ-9 Reaper Drones To Iranian Fire In Under Ten Days (Videos)

The United States Department of Defense has lost eight MQ-9 Reaper drones in the Middle East since the start of the month, CBS News reported on April 9.

The report, which cites two American officials, noted that the latest losses brought the total number of such drones lost in the Iran war up to 24.

The drones represent a loss of about $720 million. Depending on the variant, a single Reaper drone can cost about $30 million or more.

MQ-9 drones are primarily used to collect intelligence, but have the ability to conduct pinpoint strikes. The advanced drones can operate for more than 27 hours and reach altitudes of over 25,000 feet.

Over the past nine days, Iranian state media released videos showing the successful interception of four drones, alleged to be Reaper.

Bahrain Reports Fresh Drone Attack Day After Suspected Emirate Strike On Iran

Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates all reported attacks from Iran hours after the ceasefire came into effect a day earlier. There were also reports of an attack on a crucial oil pipeline leading to Read Sea terminals in Saudi Arabia.

The missile and drone attacks were apparently a response to a strike that targeted a refinery on Iran's Lavan Island. The strike also took place after the ceasefire. Both the U.S. and Israel denied responsibility, with later evidence indicating that the strike may have been carried out by the UAE.

A photo that surfaced on social media purportedly showed a Mirage 2000-9 fighter jet of the UAE Air Force that was involved in the strike. The images have not been independently verified.

The UAE Ministry of Defense confirmed earlier in the day that its Mirage jets had been scrambled, framing their role as intercepting incoming Iranian drones and missiles.

Ten Reasons Why Israel Will Soon be Defeated, Dismantled, and Destroyed by Iran - YouTube

Israel's military, economy, and society are fracturing - and the US has quietly abandoned it. In this episode, CJ Werleman breaks down ten devastating reasons why Israel is rapidly becoming defenceless in the face of a rising Iran, a retreating Washington, and a world that has finally stopped looking away.

IN THIS EPISODE:

  • Why the IDF is on the brink of collapse - manpower shortages, internal dissent, and a military stretched beyond breaking point.
  • How Iran's attrition strategy is draining Israel's Iron Dome of interceptors - with no end in sight.
  • China's direct role in fuelling Iran's ballistic missile program - enabling attacks that could sustain for 12-24 months.
  • The US-Iran ceasefire deal that left Israel out in the cold - and why Washington is now scapegoating Tel Aviv.
  • Iran's control of the Strait of Hormuz - how it became the region's most powerful "tollbooth"
  • The "Samson Option" - and why China has warned it would mean Israel's total demise.
  • A record exodus of Israelis fleeing the country - and the anti-war protests being violently suppressed.
  • Why European powers are normalising ties with Tehran - bypassing Washington entirely
  • Professor Robert Pape on Iran becoming a "global centre of power" that will dwarf Israel militarily and economically.
  • Why Israel's self-imposed binary choice of permanent expansion through violence has made its collapse inevitable

Fragile US-Iran Ceasefire Holds as Trump Pushes for Hormuz Compromise

Dr. Akhtar described the situation the US finds itself in as "a strategic failure on all accounts."

The United States is ready to make concessions to one degree or another, Professor of Political Economy Dr. Aasim Sajjad Akhtar told Sputnik, commenting on Iran's 10-point settlement plan.

Iranian demands include non-aggression, Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz, permission for uranium enrichment, the lifting of all sanctions, the termination of UN and IAEA resolutions, compensation, the withdrawal of US troops, and an end to hostilities on all fronts.

Negotiations between US and Iranian delegations are expected to take place in Islamabad in the coming days following a two-week ceasefire.

A Ceasefire in Name Only: Why the Latest U.S.-Iran Deal Raises More Questions Than Hope - Global Research

The recently announced ceasefire between the United States and Iran was quickly presented as a diplomatic breakthrough. Framed around a ten-point proposal delivered via Pakistan and endorsed by Donald Trump as a "workable basis" for negotiations, the agreement was meant to pause hostilities for two weeks and open a path toward de-escalation. But almost as soon as it was announced, the deal began to unravel, raising a more fundamental question: was this ever a genuine ceasefire, or merely a temporary and strategic pause dressed up as diplomacy?

Iran's Refusal to Budge on Ceasefire Conditions Shows It's Negotiating From Position of Strength

The US underestimated the importance of Lebanon for Iran when excluding it from the ceasefire deal, Beirut-based security analyst Ali Rizk tells Sputnik.

"By once again taking control of the Strait of Hormuz, the Iranians are telling the Trump administration: 'If you want this deal to succeed, you have to put pressure on Israel so that it will stop its attacks on Lebanon'," Rizk says.

Israel has doubled down on attacking Lebanon, with the Netanyahu government and the US arguing that the Middle Eastern country was never part of the agreement.

However, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who brokers the ceasefire deal between the US and Iran, "clearly said that Lebanon is included in the agreement," Rizk notes.

American Triton Drone Worth Several Hundred Million Dollars Reportedly Crashed Near Iran

An MQ-4C Triton drone of the United States Navy declared an in-flight emergency over the Persian Gulf before rapidly losing altitude on April 9, according to open-source flight tracking data.

The drone, serial 169804, was tracked on Flightradar24 and other aviation websites emitting a 7700 squawk, the standard code for a general emergency.

Tracking data indicates that the drone dropped from around 52,000 feet to roughly 12,750 feet within minutes while operating north of Bahrain.

The drone was flying a typical high-altitude surveillance mission over the Strait of Hormuz before the sudden descent on its way back. It remains unclear whether what was observed reflects a loss of the drone or simply a loss of tracking data for some technical reason.

[...]

It's worth noting that in 2019, Iran shot down a BAMS-D drone over the Strait of Hormuz. The drone is a prototype version of the RQ-4A that was manufactured by Northrop Grumman as a part of the Triton development program.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's long-running corruption trial will resume on Sunday, according to a statement released by the Israeli court hours after Israel lifted the state of emergency imposed as a result of its war on Iran.

"With the lifting of the state of emergency and the return of the judicial system to work, hearings will resume as usual," a spokesperson for the court said.

Netanyahu's trial began in 2020 and has repeatedly been delayed due to his official commitments.

He is the first sitting Israeli prime minister to be charged with a crime, and denies the charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust, which could lead to a jail sentence.

Iranian Army: We are still at state of war - Yemen Press Agency

TEHRAN, April. 09 (YPA) - The Iranian army spokesman confirmed that his country is still in a state of war despite the ceasefire announcement, stressing that the current stage does not mean the complete end of the confrontation.

The ceasefire and going to the negotiating table are considered a victory for the Iranian people, as Iran forced the enemy to accept the ceasefire according to its terms and its 10-point proposal.

Iran tightens control over the Strait of Hormuz - WSJ

According to the newspaper, Iran's policy regarding shipping in the Strait of Hormuz has become even tougher, although the United States has announced a two-week truce. Now, Tehran intends to allow only about a dozen ships per day, which contrasts with the previous volume of shipping.

According to S&P Global Market Intelligence, on April 8, 2026, only four vessels were allowed to pass through the strait, which was the lowest figure for the entire month of April.

"This morning, Iran radioed a message in the Strait that ships that have not received permission to pass from the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps risk being destroyed," the publication said.

The requirement to pay a fee for crossing the strait in cryptocurrency or Chinese yuan has effectively taken financial transactions out of Western control, the WSJ noted.

The list includes four F-15E Strike Eagle (the Wall Street Journal cited a fact sheet stating that the original model costs at least $31 million, while the cost of newer models is close to $100 million), two A-10 Thunderbolt IIs, two Lockheed C-130 Hercules, two Boeing E-3 Sentries, eight Boeing KC-135 Stratotankers, one Boeing CH-47 Chinook, one Sikorsky HH-60 Pave Hawk (damaged), two Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawks (damaged), four MH-6 Little Bird helicopters, and 17 General Atomics MQ-9 Reapers (each costing over $500 million).

High-value AWACS and multiple KC-135 tankers were damaged by Iranian strikes on regional airbases. In the first four days of the war, Iran hit almost all US military bases (or locations hosting US aircraft) in the Gulf. It struck key US ground radars linked to the THAAD air‑defense system, other early‑warning radars, and multiple radar and communication nodes.

At Bahrain's Al‑Jufair base, two radar domes housing AN/GSC‑52B SATCOM systems were destroyed by Shahed‑2 drones, according to US press reports.

In the UAE, an area of Al Dhafra base with several satellite antennas was hit, while it is still unclear whether the AN/TPY‑2 radar of the THAAD system at Al Ruwais was damaged. In Kuwait, structures at Ali Al Salem base connected to SATCOM systems were damaged, and at least three radar domes at Camp Arifjan were destroyed.

At Saudi Arabia's Prince Sultan base, at least one strike hit a satellite‑communications area where an AN/TPY‑2 radar had previously been deployed. The large AN/FPS‑132 fixed‑face AESA early‑warning and long‑range anti‑ballistic radar at Al Udeid in Qatar also appears to have been struck. Iranian sources further claim damage to another AN/TPY‑2 at Muwaffaq Salti base in Jordan, though this remains unconfirmed. In Kuwait, in addition to damage to some structures at the Ali al Salem base that appear to be connected to SATCOM systems, at least three radar domes at Camp Arifjan were destroyed.

When the Zionist Army's Chief Was Under Handala's Watch! General Herzi Halevi Hacked - Handala Hack Team

For years, Handala has silently and invisibly been right inside the system of General Herzi Halevi, the former Chief of Staff of the Zionist Army, a place no one ever imagined possible.

During all this time, more than 19,000 confidential images and videos from the most secret meetings of the Zionist military's Chief of Staff have been extracted and archived-material your top generals never dreamed would see the light of day.

An army that now nervously pixelates every public image never realized that its own Chief of Staff's files and photos have been fully accessible and uncensored to Handala, every moment, for years.

Every face, every commander, every criminal pilot, clear and unblurred, are in our hands, and will be revealed one by one when the time is right.

All your top-secret facilities, crisis rooms, maps, and even the tiniest details of your command centers have long been like an open book to us.

Even now, Handala has access to all your senior commanders. Every moment, every decision, every conversation is being watched, only the time to expose them has not yet arrived.

And for the sake of irony: as one of our videos shows, this very so-called "general" was once caught hiding under a table, trying to scare his wife-and failed even at that!

Are these the same criminal commanders who think they can intimidate the lion cubs of Haidar al-Karrar or the warriors of Hezbollah?

What a delusion!

Remember:
We are the shadow in the heart of your command;
And everything you have will one day be exposed for all the world to see.

Trump Got Played by Israel... And the Game Continues

The alleged ceasefire between the United States and Iran is kaput. While there has been no official announcement stipulating that it is over, trust me, it is over. The copium in the Trump administration in particular, and in Washington, DC in general, is ridiculous... Proclamations of a great military victory over Iran, without one shred of evidence that the US achieved any strategic objectives other than inspiring Iran to take control of the Strait of Hormuz and place the world economy in a supply-chain chokehold.

  1. Both Iran and Pakistan, the intermediary in the ceasefire, insist that the Trump administration accepted Iran's 10-point as a workable basis for negotiation:
  2. U.S. commitment to non-aggression - A formal guarantee that the United States (and Israel) will not launch further attacks on Iran, Lebanon, Yemen and Iraq.
  3. Continued Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz - Iran retains sovereignty and primary coordination of maritime traffic through the strait, with a "regulated" or "secure transit protocol" for safe passage of ships.
  4. Acceptance of Iran's nuclear enrichment rights - Explicit US and international recognition of Iran's right to enrich uranium for its civilian nuclear program.
  5. Lifting of all primary U.S. sanctions on Iran - Removal of direct bilateral economic sanctions imposed by the United States.
  6. Lifting of all secondary sanctions - Elimination of sanctions on third countries and entities that do business with Iran.
  7. Termination of all United Nations Security Council resolutions against Iran - Cancellation of existing UNSC sanctions and resolutions targeting Iran.
  8. Termination of all IAEA Board of Governors resolutions against Iran - End to International Atomic Energy Agency resolutions and oversight measures related to Iran's nuclear program.
  9. Payment of compensation / war reparations to Iran - Financial compensation or reconstruction aid for damages caused by the US-Israeli military campaign.
  10. Release of all frozen Iranian assets - Unfreezing of Iranian funds and assets held abroad (including those in US or European banks).
  11. US military withdrawal from the Middle East (and end to attacks on Iran's allies) - Withdrawal of US combat forces from regional bases, plus a ceasefire extending to Iran's "Axis of Resistance" allies (including halting Israeli operations in Lebanon against Hezbollah, and ending hostilities in other regional fronts).

Deadline to Disaster: Why Trump's Iran Gambit Is Failing - And Threatening the World - Global Research

The latest escalation around the Strait of Hormuz has exposed a familiar pattern in the foreign policy approach of Donald Trump: maximalist rhetoric paired with a profound underestimation of the strategic realities on the ground.

As the deadline set by Washington for the reopening of the strait expires, the language coming from the White House has shifted from pressure to outright threats. Statements about "erasing" infrastructure, targeting industrial capacity, and delivering overwhelming force have dominated headlines. But behind the theatrical escalation lies a far more uncomfortable truth: the strategy itself is faltering.

Nima R. Alkhorshid: BREAKING: Hezbollah Just Resumed Military Operations Against Israel

A fragile ceasefire is unfolding after backchannel talks, but deep contradictions in proposed peace plans raise doubts about its durability. Conflicting versions of a 10-point proposal and mixed signals from officials suggest disorganization and lack of genuine commitment to negotiations. Meanwhile, continued strikes in Lebanon and rising regional tensions highlight that the conflict extends beyond a single front. The discussion argues the ceasefire may be a temporary pause to regroup militarily rather than a path to peace, with broader issues involving Gaza, Lebanon, and regional power dynamics remaining unresolved.

Scott Ritter: The US War on Iran Just COLLAPSED - Ceasefire Does the Impossible

A fragile ceasefire is unfolding amid escalating tensions after strikes in Lebanon, exposing deep disagreements between competing peace plans. The discussion highlights how control of the Strait of Hormuz, global energy pressures, and China's influence are pushing both sides toward negotiations. The interview argues that military escalation has reached its limits, with failed operations and political pressure forcing a shift toward diplomacy. Regional dynamics, including Israel's position, Gulf states' roles, and potential economic gains for Iran, shape the stakes. Ultimately, peace is seen as necessary but uncertain, hinging on trust, enforcement, and broader geopolitical compromises.

US Soldiers in Middle East Have No Direction, No Strategy, No Plan B - Global Research

Trump has announced that 100,000 troops stationed across Europe will come back to the US to punish Europe for not bombing Iran.

Additionally, given many bases in the Middle East were leveled, as in completely uninhabitable, leaving those 30,000+ troops to be reassigned as well.

Where will they go? US bases have been in various stages of extremely uninhabitable to barely habitable due to mold, dirty water, and lack of repairs or maintenance.

As a result, soldiers share housing, while others seek affordable off-base shelter. So where exactly will Trump and Hegseth put an additional 130,000 soldiers?

Iran issues map to help ships avoid mines in Strait of Hormuz | Middle East Eye

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a map outlining revised routes through the Strait of Hormuz to help vessels steer clear of naval mines, local media said.

The IRGC navy advised ships to coordinate with it to pass safely with the zone marked on the map, described as an "area of danger".

Tankers that once travelled near Oman on the southern side of the Strait are now being advised to use a more northerly passage, closer to Iran's coastline.

US Supercharges Tomahawk Orders Amid Iran War Drain

By comparison, only 55 missiles are being purchased in the current fiscal year, which ends on September 30.

In just 4 weeks of war with Iran, the US expended more than 850 Tomahawk missiles.

US moves closer to automated military draft - RT World News

Plans for automated military conscription during a US national emergency are advancing and on schedule to be in place by the end of the year, according to the federal agency tasked with maintaining the list, the Selective Service System (SSS).

Provisions included in the FY 2026 National Defense Authorization Act passed last December in response to falling compliance shifted the responsibility from individuals to the SSS.

[...]

Currently, most adult males under the age of 26 living in the US - including undocumented immigrants - are required to register for potential conscription. The millions who fail to do so can face penalties of up to $250,000 in fines, five years in prison, and restrictions on obtaining citizenship. Under the new system, the SSS would instead build its registry using personal data from multiple government databases.

The 'petrodollar' has been weakening for years, economists warn. The Iran war put a spotlight on it | Fortune

The gold standard may have ended in the early 1970s, but something else quietly took its place for the next 50 years: oil. The so-called "petrodollar" system wasn't well understood for most of this time, but a secret deal between Henry Kissinger and Saudi Arabia ensured the dollar would remain the dominant reserve currency. The outbreak of war in Iran is exposing America's Achilles' heel, though, as China positions the "petroyuan" as the obvious successor, and to top it all off, the Saudis quietly killed the petrodollar two years ago.
