Remembering Jim Traficant

Men like James Anthony Traficant are an increasingly rare breed and i find that quite unfortunate because, were there more people in government that possessed a fraction of the guts this former Ohio Congressman had, the United States, and the West at large, wouldn't be the bent-over whore for Israel that it so clearly is today.

During an interview for Fox News by Greta Van Susteren on September 10, 2009, Traficant issued the following warning:

"But I believe that Israel has a powerful stranglehold on the American government. They control both members of the House, the House and the Senate. They have us involved in wars in which we have little or no interest. Our children are coming back in body bags. Our nation is bankrupt over these wars. And if you open your mouth, you get targeted. And if they don't beat you at the poll, they'll put you in prison. [...] They're controlling much of our foreign policy. They're influencing much of our domestic policy. Wolfowitz as undersecretary of defense manipulated President Bush number two back into Iraq. They've pushed definitely, definitely to try to get Bush before he left to move into Iran. We're conducting the expansionist policy of Israel and everybody's afraid to say it. They control much of the media, they control much of the commerce of the country, and they control powerfully both bodies of the Congress. Traficant was truly larger than life. The former football player was loud, aggressive, opinionated, non-conforming, wickedly funny and was loved dearly not only by his Ohioans, but by many people throughout the United States who were, and are, fed-up with the corrupt U.S. government. Traficant, who was truly a representative of the people, stated that he hated government for this reason and did so, on at least one occasion, on the House floor.

Traficant's downfall from Congress was his unflinching criticism of the Israel-Jewish-Zionist influence in the United States which resulted in a near complete lack of support from his Congressional peers. He pulled no punches when he spoke on the subject, even on the House floor. Those that earned his respect were treated in-kind, while those who did not were subject to his wrath. On occasion he would threaten those that pissed him off with a punch in the mouth or a kick to the balls.

Eric Hunley and Mark Groubert, the latter a freelance writer who writes for a variety of mainstream and alternative publications, sift through Traficant's extraordinary life from his early days as a star football player in his hometown of Youngstown Ohio, to his career as a United States Congressman for Ohio's 17th district which intersected with 7 1/2 years spent in prison, a portion of that time in solitary confinement. While Groubert's assessment of Traficant is quite good overall, he does in fact make several grossly incorrect assumptions, the following of which are the most prominent:

he states that Michael Collins Piper was a Nazi, which is utterly absurd
he downplays the blatantly obvious Jewish-Zionist influence in the U.S. (Groubert is Jewish)
he insinuates that Traficant wasted his time by coming to the aid of John Demjanjuk, who he incorrectly assumes was a Nazi war criminal

Groubert seems to be a thorough researcher, so how he could make such obvious blunders of this magnitude seems decidedly odd, though they would make sense if he's an apologist for Israel and given his history, which includes working with Oliver Stone who told only half of the story in his film, JFK, that doesn't seem unlikely. Nevertheless, the following segment of America's Untold Stories is well worth watching.

Traficant was a well educated man with a playful sense of humor as Kerry Cassidy of Project Camelot would discover when she interviewed him in 2012. Among other subjects, Traficant elaborates on his controversial support of John Demjanjuk, a former Cleveland auto worker who was wrongly accused of war crimes regarding the alleged extermination program at the former Treblinka concentration camp during World War II. Here we learn what Groubert who, for whatever reason, failed to uncover, that being the reason why Traficant decided to risk his Congressional career in order to save Demjanjuk from prosecution by an exceedingly corrupt U.S. judicial system.

I met the former U.S. Congressman Jim Traficant at the June Conspiracy Con conference where we were both speaking. His story is fascinating and revealing not only because it demonstrates the role and the power of the Israel lobby in America but because as a Congressman he acted with the courage of his convictions. A rare thing indeed.
Framed, and imprisoned in the U.S. for a crime he did not commit for nearly eight years, he is now a free man and he is talking. This man is a true White Hat and a real American patriot standing up for what is right.
