Remote Viewing the Wave

The seemingly inherent ability that allows humans to gather information remotely about events across space and time is a subject that has interested me for years. Widely known as extra-sensory perception, there are far more rigid and scientifically validated forms of ESP under the umbrella of 'remote viewing' and the technique required to develop the ability can be taught to virtually anyone apparently. A bit off topic, but if you haven't yet seen the 2009 comedy film, Men Who Stare at Goats, i highly suggest it. The film opens with the line, "More of this is true than you would believe." and indeed, that is a fact.
Early validation and development of remote viewing took place at Stanford Research Institute (SRI) in the 1970s under the direction of Hal Puthoff. Others involved the program included Russell Targ, Pat Price, Uri Geller and Ingo Swann. The program was funded by various elements of the U.S. intelligence community, including the CIA, and was apparently the result of the realization that the Russians and Chinese were already working on such programs and using them to gain sensitive intelligence. From the document, CIA-Initiated Remote Viewing Program at Stanford Research Institute by Dr. Hal Puthoff:
Abstract - In July 1995 the CIA declassified, and approved for release, documents revealing its sponsorship in the 1970s of a program at Stanford Research Institute in Menlo Park, CA, to determine whether such phenomena, as remote viewing "might have any utility for intelligence collection". Thus began disclosure to the public of a two-decade-plus involvement of the intelligence community in the investigation of so-called parapsychological or psi phenomena. Presented here by the program's Founder and first Director (1972 - 1985) is the early history of the program, including discussion of some of the first, now declassified, results that drove early interest.
Remote viewing is basically a rigid and practiced method whereby a person is able to gather data for a given target, the target being a place, event or person. The practice is not restricted by distance nor time, thus the target could be anywhere in the universe, past, present or future. How such a technique, when combined with other data, would be of tremendous value to the various intelligence agencies is obvious. The target is designated by someone who does not and cannot participate in the actual viewing sessions, nor share any information whatsoever with the viewers about the target. Typically a target might be assigned a reference number or geographical coordinates and it is this information, and only this information, which is given to the person or persons who are to preform the remote viewing sessions. Imagine i design a target, such the contents of my left front pants pocket, and i assign a number to the target, then email you the number and ask for your answer. Sound impossible?
One of the best remote viewers in the program at SRI, and possibly the world, was Ingo Swann for whom the CIA has compiled quite a collection of documents. In order to validate remote viewing, Swann was being tasked with many mundane experiments which he found to be quite boring and so he demanded something different that would better exercise his capability. In 1973, apparently after threatening to quit the program, Swann was tasked with remote viewing the planet Jupiter upon which he discovered what appeared to be something resembling rings around the planet, a feature which astronomers balked at and which Carl Sagan called "ridiculous". Swann himself initially thought he was viewing Saturn. It wasn't until 1979, when NASA's Voyger probe photographed the previously unknown feature, that Swann's data was confirmed.
We humans spend most of our waking hours existing in a what appears to be a construct of reality which we call the physical. In this construct we can identify and quantify much of our world. For example, i'm writing this article in a room while sitting at a desk with a keyboard connected to a computer, all of which appear to me to be solid objects which i can see, touch and measure. While particle science validates this construct, pretty much everything we think we know about our physical world evaporates when subatomic science enters the picture. I think the question is a bit deeper than whether the falling tree makes a sound if no one is around to hear it; i think the question is whether the tree exists at all prior to its existence being agreed upon by the collective consciousness we call the universe.
In various quantum science experiments, a subatomic particle may only exist as a particle while it is actively being observed (measured), after which it returns to what appears to be wave, or pure frequency or energy if you like. There have also been experiments which indicate that a single subatomic particle can exist in multiple points in space simultaneously, as well as experiments which indicate that instantaneous communication between subatomic particles is possible, regardless of distance. I believe it is the latter, which i know as quantum entanglement, that makes remote viewing possible.
Time is a purely linear construct invented by humans in order to differentiate between past, present and future events, but from the point of view of the universe, time doesn't exist. In other words, everything that has, is, or will happen, seems to be contained in what might be called the 'quantum field' or a singular 'universal consciousness'. This does not necessarily mean that the future is fixed, nor that the past is fixed. It seems that our experience can be thought of as sort of a timeline which was created by 'the collective', any point of which can be altered by the the same. In other words, thinking of our existence as a thought subject to revision, rather than a fixed set of events, may (or not), provide a more accurate picture of the true nature of our reality.
Whatever our reality is, it seems to be explained far better by quantum science than by particle science. There is no physicality, only our perception of it and when we consider our existence from this viewpoint, and factor in the informational field, i.e. a universal consciousness, it isn't so difficult to understand why remote viewing works. The only amazing thing about it is that we are able to access this field of information, and even that isn't so amazing when we consider that we are part of that field. We are the wave.
Some scientists believe that we exist in a simulation; that everything we know is essentially a program running in a computer. While this may seem ludicrous, the theory seems to have gained some traction in the scientific community and, indeed, the possibility is not as crazy as it seems. Think of a newer, 3D video game that's based on realism. Even with the rudimentary technology our exceedingly immature species possesses, the newest video games look and act very realistic, as do the characters in them. Now imagine what that technology might look like in just a few years when artificial intelligence matures a bit, much less in a hundred years or a thousand years. Surely we aren't the only, nor the oldest intelligent species in the universe. What have they created? If you are a digital, AI powered creation with the ability to think and feel in 'their' video game, what makes you think you'd be able to know?
One the potential inconsistencies i discovered regarding remote viewing is that the data gathered doesn't always seem to match a verifiable reality and, instead, seems to be influenced by the collective human perception of the event which could change at any time.
The famous Schrödinger's cat paradox appeared in his essay The present situation in quantum mechanics (1935), based on the Copenhagen Interpretation of quantum physics. A thought experiment where a cat sealed in a box either lived or died depending on whether a quantum event occurred, it seemed to suggest two universes, one with a dead cat and one with a living cat, existed in parallel until an observer saw whether the cat was alive or dead.
Consider Fruit of the Loom for example, a well-known company that manufactures underwear. This is how many people, including myself, have pictured the logo in our mind:

The problem with that logo is that the basket-looking thing, a cornucopia, was never included in the Fruit of the Loom logo. This mass-misconception of the logo is part of what's known as the Mandela Effect which is explained in the article, What Is the Mandela Effect? Examples and Explanations, as "a situation in which a large mass of people believes that an event occurred when it did not".
One of the most well-known examples of the Mandela Effect is the collective memory of a movie called "Shazaam" that starred the actor/comedian Sinbad in the 1990s.
In fact, no such movie exists, although there was a children's movie called Kazaam and some other coincidences that could help to explain how this movie became created (or remembered) in many people's minds.
Well, how do we know the event did not occur? Perhaps both events occurred. Perhaps we decided to alter the event and create a different perception of it, or perhaps the directive came from higher up, so to speak.
I suspect that data gathered by remote viewers may also be subject to the Mandela Effect. The question in my mind is not whether people believe a false reality, but whether multiple realities could be true, and false, simultaneously, like Schrödinger's cat. If there is no physical reality and the collective agreed upon a particular version of reality, could a remote viewer have any way of knowing this?
In the fascinating, nearly 3 1/2 hour interview linked below, Danny Jones interviews David Morehouse regarding the subject of remote viewing. This very interesting man with an equally interesting and diverse background, including time spent in the military where he was trained in remote viewing, talks about a wide variety of subjects and experiences. I found some information about Morehouse on the Untold Radio AM website:
Dr. Morehouse is the world's leading Remote Viewing teacher, and has trained tens of thousands in this fascinating and life changing protocol. Formerly a highly decorated special operations officer in the US Army, he is the subject of a soon to be released movie. He is author of the international best-seller Psychic Warrior which is available in 14 languages. His most recent book is Remote Viewing, the Complete Handbook for Coordinate Remote Viewing.
David Morehouse, Biography
Dr. David Morehouse has had an extremely diverse life, which in the words of his superiors, essentially began with a notable military career. He held a Regular Army commission in the United States Infantry and is a Distinguished Military Graduate, and a Dr. Ralph D. Mershon Award winner, designating him as the top cadet commissioned into the Regular Army in 1979, amongst 2,800 other potential candidates.
During his tours of duty, Major Morehouse served in many staff and command positions ranging from Airborne rifle Company Commander to Commander of an elite Airborne Ranger Company-he commanded for over four years while the majority of his peers commanded only eighteen months. He was Aide de Camp to two army generals, the Battalion Executive Officer (second in command) of the 680 men of the 2nd Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, as well as being the Chief of Training for the 13,500 men and women of the 82nd Airborne Division.
From 1987 to 1991, David Morehouse was assigned to several highly classified special access programs in the US Army's Intelligence Security Command and the Defense Intelligence Agency's Directorate of Science and Technology as a top secret Psychic Spy, a Remote Viewer.
An Army Ranger, Master Parachutist, Pathfinder, Scuba Diver and Special Operations Soldier, his distinctive military skills place him in a select group of army officers. He holds a Master of Military Art and Science Degree, a Masters degree in Administration, and a Doctorate in Education. The recipient of numerous military awards and decorations, his last assignment was to have been with the Chief of Staff of the Army's elite "Study Group" as the non-lethal weapons expert.
Despite being designated by his superiors as "Destined to wear stars," he resigned his commission in 1995 after his decision to write Psychic Warrior resulted in unfounded charges being filed against him-his resignation ended eighteen years of exemplary and honorable military service.
David Morehouse later challenged the allegations made against him in 1993, and was successful in having his discharge upgraded to fully honorable, after proving to the Army discharge review board, a panel of five Colonels, that the allegations against him were baseless, without merit, and devoid of credible evidence.
In the years since he resigned, David Morehouse has written four books: Psychic Warrior: Inside the CIA's STARGATE Program, Nonlethal Weapons: War Without Death, Remote Viewing: The Complete Handbook for Coordinate Remote Viewing, and The Deceivers, his first work of fiction. The latter-The Deceivers-was recently purchased by Paramount Pictures as a feature film with Mace Neufeld producing and Simon West directing. Psychic Warrior is an international bestseller published in 14 languages.
Universal Pictures is presentlydeveloping a feature film based on David's life story, as recounted in Psychic Warrior, to be titled Comes the Watcher. Nonlethal Weapon : War Without Death, is considered an academic work and has met with much critical acclaim in the world of strategic planners. Remote Viewing: The Complete Handbook for Coordinate Remote Viewing is the most comprehensive how to book available on remote viewing.
Dr. David Morehouse has twice lectured at the Mikhail Gorbachev Foundation's State of the World Forum on issues concerning global peace and alternative methods of conflict resolution. In 1999, a committee of scientists and educators from the United States and Europe nominated him for the Nobel Prize in the category of "Alternative Sciences." More recently he has been a guest lecturer at Stanford University's MBA Creativity in Business course, and at Deepak Chopra's Alliance for a New Humanity in Puerto Rico.
Dr. Morehouse formed Remote Viewing Technologies in 1997, a company initially designed to train police officers in the art and science of Remote Viewing. In early 1998, Dr. Morehouse began training civilians in the exact military protocols and standards to which he was trained in the Remote Viewing unit, circa 1987 to 1990. To date, well over 15,000 students have been trained in the United States, Europe and other far-reaching parts of the globe.
Dr. Morehouse's Remote Viewing students find their way to him from a diverse range of backgrounds. He lectures and educates across the spectrum of human interests. His students include (but are not limited to) medical doctors, researchers in science, medicine and technology, engineers, homemakers, physicists, students, artists, and alternative practitioners.
His teachings and writings have been especially appreciated in Europe where his reputation and his evolving humanistic philosophies have earned him countless accolades in the European Press where he is routinely described as "one of Europe's leading new metaphysicians."
David resides in Southern California with his wife, Patty DeMartin Morehouse. Following a very successful corporate career, Patty has served as a Life Coach and trainer for some of the most powerful Fortune 500 executives and entrepreneurs for over 15 years. She has been a Remote Viewing Trainer with her husband, since 2000.
