Introduction

I've known about Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO) for decades. Anyone researching alternative health will inevitably run across DMSO, as i have many times, but i never really dug into it until very recently.

DMSO is natures solvent, though it's also available in its synthetic form. As for its uses, the list is long and diverse, but DMSO seems to have a particular affinity for the eyes and is known to improve vision. One of the several crazy stories i've read is where person's eyesight was improved after applying DMSO to an ingrown toenail, or how about regaining ones eyesight after becoming blind? Fantasy, you say? Read on. There's a whole lot of studies and testimonials regarding its benefits, but apparently it's not patentable and so the FDA went to war with it.

Medicine

Use of DMSO in medicine dates from around 1963, when an Oregon Health & Science University Medical School team, headed by Stanley Jacob, discovered it could penetrate the skin and other membranes without damaging them and could carry other compounds into a biological system. In medicine, DMSO is predominantly used as a topical analgesic, a vehicle for topical application of pharmaceuticals, as an anti-inflammatory, and an antioxidant.[31] Because DMSO increases the rate of absorption of some compounds through biological tissues, including skin, it is used in some transdermal drug delivery systems. Its effect may be enhanced with the addition of EDTA. It is frequently compounded with antifungal medications, enabling them to penetrate not just skin but also toenails and fingernails.[32]

DMSO has been examined for the treatment of numerous conditions and ailments, but the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved its use only for the symptomatic relief of patients with interstitial cystitis.[33] A 1978 study concluded that DMSO brought significant relief to the majority of the 213 patients with inflammatory genitourinary disorders that were studied.[34]

DMSO can be dangerous, even deadly, though not so much by itself. The human body can tolerate large doses, but because it is a solvent that readily penetrates the skin, it can carry with it contaminates, such as makeup or other chemicals, so be sure to do your homework before using it. It's best to buy DMSO in glass containers and store it in a cool, dark place. Note that DMSO freezes at about 65 F (19 C), but placing the container in warm water will liquefy it again (do not heat it on a stove or in a microwave oven).

As of this writing, i've been applying a roughly 20% solution of DMSO and filtered water (1 part DMSO to 4 parts filtered water) to my eyes several times a day for several weeks using a glass dropper. I've noticed a few worrying issues with my eyesight over the last 10 years or so, one being a sort of dull pain or pressure in my eyes and another being one eye that is nearsighted while the other is farsighted. I don't wear any corrective lenses and have never had any eye surgery and i'd like to keep it that way, but reading small text, such as the list of ingredients on most food product labels, or on my phone when the font size is set to its default, has become nearly impossible without reading glasses. As a result of using DMSO in my eyes, i'm starting to notice changes in my vision. The pressure i had felt in my eyes seems to have dissipated considerably and my eyesight seems to be a bit clearer and more balanced, but there's still room for improvement and hopefully that will eventually happen as i continue to use DMSO.

One of the stranger things i've noticed is how DMSO seems to penetrate the entire body, even when it's applied to one small area, my eyes in this case. Several hours after applying a drop of DMSO in each eye, i can begin to smell it on my forearm and taste it when i eat, though only slightly. This penetration surely explains why a man that applied DMSO to a toe realized better eyesight as a result. Pure DMSO has no smell, yet the smell is very apparent on my skin and in my nose. It's not a particularly strong or offensive smell, but the odor is chemical-like as one might expect with a solvent. DMSO can also of course be used internally, but it must be diluted and even then it can taste really bad.

When purchasing DMSO, be damned sure you use a trusted source. Personally i've bought it from KVLab which also sells chlorine dioxide, true colloidal silver (most places advertising "colloidal" silver are actually selling ionic silver), however KVLab only sells DMSO in small quantities. If you want larger amounts at a cheaper price, i might recommend BP Life which sells DMSO in quantities up to a gallon. Wherever you buy it, just be sure to vet the source.

The FDA's War Against DMSO and America

Over the last month, I have been diligently working to alert the public to the decades of evidence demonstrating the remarkable therapeutic potential of DMSO. In turn, quite a few of my colleagues have shared patients are now asking them about DMSO, and a few are shifting their practice to focus on it (e.g., Pierre Kory has done so and is already having numerous amazing results).

The Remarkable History and Safety of DMSO

Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is a simple chemical that is remarkably effective for treating a wide variety of health conditions (e.g., chronic pain, injuries, arthritis, strokes, spinal cord injuries, and a variety of autoimmune conditions). Because of this, once it was discovered, it quickly spread through America like wildfire with incredible (and almost impossible to believe) data behind it. Likewise, after I created a renewed interest in DMSO through this series, I received hundreds of almost unbelievable testimonials which were virtually identical to what people reported 60 years ago.

Dimethyl Sulfoxide is a 100% natural product which is documented as a safe substance. However, some precautions are needed when using it. It may irritate and wrinkle the skin if handled improperly. It carries different kinds of molecules through the skin when applied together. This means you need to handle dimethylsulfoxide with care using clean instruments and tools, pay attention to the substances you apply to the skin together with dimethyl sulfoxide. DMSO is non-toxic and 7 times safer than aspirin.

From Sharper Night Vision to Curing Lifelong Blindness - How DMSO Heals Each Level of Vision Loss - Global Research

DMSO is a proven "umbrella remedy" that treats dozens of "incurable" conditions and protects delicate tissues (especially brain and eyes) from otherwise fatal injuries such as a complete loss of blood flow

DMSO has a unique, almost magnetic affinity for the eyes, routinely restoring vision in disorders conventional medicine considers untreatable - including decades-long and lifelong blindness

DMSO shields the retina from ischemic strokes, intense light damage (e.g., staring directly at the sun), and progressive degenerative diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa, glaucoma, and many others covered below

Clinical studies and dozens of reader reports confirm DMSO halts or reverses macular degeneration - often returning eyesight that patients believed was gone forever. Beyond severe disease, DMSO dramatically improves everyday vision: sharper focus, better contrast and night vision, fewer floaters, and many people reduce or eliminate their need for glasses

In extreme but meticulously documented cases - including a man blind from birth for 75 years and others blind for decades after severe trauma - DMSO has rapidly restored functional sight that modern medicine had declared impossible

DMSO Heals the Eyes and Transforms Ophthalmology

• DMSO is an "umbrella remedy" capable of treating a wide range of challenging ailments due to its combination of therapeutic properties (e.g., reducing inflammation, improving circulation, and reviving dying cells).

• DMSO has a unique affinity for the eyes, resulting in it (often spontaneously) treating a wide range of visual disorders that frequently cannot be treated with conventional therapeutic options.

• DMSO's ability to restore circulation, revive dying cells, and stabilize misfolded proteins allows it to treat a variety of retinal diseases (e.g., macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy or retinitis pigmentosa-in some cases reversing permanent blindness), eliminate visual obstructions (e.g., floaters and cataracts), reverse glaucoma or Fuchs' dystrophy, and restore normal focus (frequently eliminating the need for glasses).

• DMSO's anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties allow it to treat dry eyes, inflammatory diseases around the eye (e.g., blepharitis, styes, and psoriasis) or within the eye (e.g., iritis, uveitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis), along with bacterial, fungal, parasitic, or viral eye infections such as shingles.

•DMSO's healing properties also allow it to heal a variety of eye injuries (including severe ones which would otherwise require eye removal), skin issues around the eye (e.g., burns, skin tags, and under-eye bags), and eliminate eye muscle spasms.

•This article will review the extensive data demonstrating DMSO's efficacy for eye diseases, along with an examination of the most common protocols used for them and other natural approaches that also aid in the treatment of common eye disorders.

DMSO TRANSFORMS EYE TREATMENT - by Robert Yoho, MD - Dr. Yoho

Modern life assaults our eyes. Staring at screens all day, being indoors in unnatural light, never alternating focus between near and far-these habits accumulate damage over decades. Adding inflammatory diets, sedentary lifestyles, and chronic stress is a setup for eye disease. DMSO can counteract this damage and maintain our sight.

DMSO and Natural Dyes: A suppressed cancer treatment resurfaces in independent research - NaturalNews.com

Mike Adams of Brighteon Broadcast News and Natural News, has uncovered groundbreaking research on a long-suppressed cancer therapy involving dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and natural dyes like hematoxylin and phycocyanin. Historical studies from Japan and the work of Dr. Eli Jordan Tucker Jr. reveal that this combination selectively targets tumors with minimal side effects-yet was systematically buried by the FDA and the American Cancer Society (ACS).

Cheap, generic and unpatentable DMSO: A THREAT to Big Pharma profits - NaturalNews.com

In a world where billion-dollar patents shape modern medicine, one humble chemical may be the most powerful - and most persecuted - therapeutic agent you've never heard of: Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO).

Discovered in 1866 and reborn in the 1960s as a medical marvel, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) showed extraordinary potential to relieve pain, reduce inflammation and carry other drugs directly through the skin. Its safety profile was impressive, its uses wide-ranging, and its only real flaw was this: DMSO was cheap, generic and unpatentable.

That made it a "threat" to Big Pharma profits - and set off a decades-long struggle that pitted a handful of visionary scientists against a skeptical and profit-driven medical establishment. As the late science journalist Pat McGrady, Sr. revealed in his explosive 1973 book "The Persecuted Drug: The Story of DMSO," it was about who gets to decide what counts as medicine.

I bought DMSO from KVLab, which also sells chlorine dioxide (MMS), another incredible product i have experience with and recommend. KVLab doesn't sell DMSO in large quantities however, so my quest to find another potentially reputable seller led me to BP Life where you can purchase DMSO by the gallon in glass containers, which i would highly recommend over plastic. BP Life is a U.S. company headquartered in St. Louis. From their website:

Bp Life started with two friends, Ryan and Brad, who saw a serious problem--too many products on the market with questionable ingredients, sketchy suppliers, and zero transparency. We knew people deserved better, so we set out to build a brand that would be known for one thing: uncompromising quality. In our first six months, we poured everything into vetting manufacturers, testing ingredients, and building a supply chain we could actually trust. We weren't just trying to sell products--we were on a mission to restore trust and deliver real solutions to the people who need them most.

[...]

At BP Life, we don't mess around with weak formulas or inferior ingredients. We make potent, effective products built on real science and raw integrity. Our line includes alternative supplements like fenbendazole, DMSO, methylene blue, and other repurposed compounds that are gaining attention for a reason--they work.

We source only high-quality, lab-tested ingredients, and we manufacture in facilities that meet or exceed industry standards for safety and purity. Every batch is verified by third-party testing for potency and contaminants, because we believe transparency and trust go hand in hand. If it's not clean, effective, and made with intention, it doesn't wear the BP Life name.

We're not here to follow the rules of the mainstream health industry--we're here to set a higher standard. When you use a BP Life product, you can be confident you're getting the real deal: no fillers, no fluff, and no corporate corner-cutting.
