Venezuela's Machado mocked for giving Trump her Nobel Peace Prize | Middle East Eye
Maria Corina Machado, recipient of the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, presented her medal to Donald Trump during their meeting at the White House on Thursday.
The move - which she described it as a recognition of the US president's "unique commitment with (Venezuela's) freedom" - was met with condemnation and ridicule online as social media users linked the move to Trump's refusal to tap her as new leader of the South American country following Washington's abduction of President Nicolas Maduro and and his wife Cilia Flores earlier this month.
American author Joyce Carol Oates described Machado's gesture as an act of "grovelling before the most loathsome of male leaders".
One journalist called it "one of the greatest acts of vassalage in recent history", with another user accusing Machado of "pandering" to the US.
I thought about as long and hard about the titling of this post as i do with most articles i write, which is to say, i didn't, but if i were to re-title it, i might make the title "Oligarchial Delusions". The articles quoted above and below are one of the most stunning and brazen examples of sheer stupidity i have ever come across.
According to what i'm hearing, and quite contrary to the sewage pumped out by the mainstream media and puppets of the U.S. and Israeli governments, such as Alex 'Bullshit' Jones and the rest of these pond scums, the people of Venezuela have largely united around their government in protest against the U.S. kidnapping of their president and his wife, including, apparently, even some of those who don't like Maduro. The oligarchs operating within Venezuela, as well as those outside its borders who have an interest in Venezuela's oil and minerals, of course want to pretend--and want you to pretend--that the situation on the ground is the polar opposite; that everyone in Venezuela hates Maduro and they're so very relieved he's gone. Enter this stupid, ugly, out-of-touch, Zionist puppet bitch, Maria Corina Machado, who was positioned by the so-called 'elite' to be the next president of Venezuela.
Even the Zionist pawn of the United States, Mister Trumpstien, recognized how loony was the idea of allowing this jackass to become president. On the other side of this stupidity are the Venezuelans who, it would seem, would never accept the Zionist clown, but stupid is as stupid does, Machado is obviously completely ignorant regarding the people she pretends to be so eager to represent.

A Nobel Peace Prize cannot be withdrawn or handed over to another person, the organization behind the award has said, ruling out the possibility of it being transferred to US President Donald Trump.
The clarification came after the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Venezuelan opposition figure Maria Corina Machado, told Fox News earlier this week that "the Venezuelan people, because this is a prize of the Venezuelan people, certainly want to give it to him [Trump] and share it with him."
The US president has been actively campaigning to get the prize since taking office a year ago, but the organizers opted to present it to Machado during a ceremony in Oslo, Norway in December.
