Iran Hit U.S. Warning Radars, Combat Drones, Spy Planes At UAE Air Base In Revenge Attack (Photos) | South Front

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on March 6 that they had targeted a United States base in the United Arab Emirates that they alleged had been used as a launchpad for a deadly strike on a school.

The strike in question hit a girls' elementary school in Minab county in the south of the Islamic Republic on the first day of the American-Israeli war, February 28, killing at least 168 children. Tehran blamed Washington, and a recent investigation by CNN said that the U.S. military was likely responsible.

"Al Dhafra Air Base, belonging to American terrorists in the region, was targeted using drones and precision missiles," the IRGC said in a statement broadcast on state TV.

Al Dhafra Air Base is located around 32 kilometers to the south of the Emirate capital, Abu Dhabi. The base is considered critical for the operations of the U.S. military in the Middle East. It hosts advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance aircraft.

The IRGC said that its latest attacks, which also targeted Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, and Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, destroyed early-warning radar systems, fuel storage tanks for U.S. aircraft, runways, and maintenance workshops for MQ-9 Reaper combat drones and US U-2 Dragon Lady spy planes.

Iranian Navy fires missile towards USS Abraham Lincoln after promise of revenge

Iran's Navy has launched a coast-to-sea missile towards the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) aircraft carrier following a pledge by the Army to avenge those martyred during an American strike against an Iranian naval frigate.

"A powerful missile system belonging to the Navy fired a coast-to-sea missile towards the USS Abraham Lincoln a few minutes ago," reports carried by various Iranian outlets said, citing the Army's Public Relations Office.

Expert analysis warns US ground invasion of Iran would face catastrophic resistance from prepared forces with upgraded missiles. Critical shortages plague US munitions-Patriot, THAAD, precision-guided weapons-while air campaign effectiveness is questioned amid Iranian strikes on radar systems and regional bases. Gulf states reconsider alliances as economic vulnerabilities mount; Israel endures missile attacks with high penetration rates. Discussion highlights US mobilization challenges, domestic constraints, intelligence failures, and wavering European support. With ammunition depletion and strategic miscalculations mounting, the conflict may accelerate global realignment away from Western alliances as nations reassess partnerships amid questions over war objectives and credibility.

Expert analysis on US-Israel-Iran escalation: Questions the efficacy of air power for regime change and examines Iran's asymmetric "rope-a-dope" strategy targeting US bases in Gulf states. Discusses false flag concerns, Strait of Hormuz closure, and oil prices potentially hitting $150/barrel. Highlights missile defense economics-each Iranian missile forces multiple expensive interceptors-and warns of prolonged conflict depleting US military stocks worldwide. Explores regional dynamics: Gulf Arab states trapped between US alliance and Iranian retaliation, while Russia benefits from higher energy prices and China navigates shipping exemptions. Concludes that unclear war objectives, disregard for international law, and underestimation of Iranian resilience make this a high-risk escalation likely to weaken all parties, destabilize global energy markets, and reshape geopolitical alliances-with no clear path to victory or sustainable resolution.

Message rocks "Israel" from Khamenei's account on X - Yemen Press Agency

TEHRAN, March 06 (YPA) - The Hebrew-language account of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Republic of Iran, the martyr Sayyed Ali Khamenei, posted on the "X" platform today, Friday, that "the Zionist entity has made a big mistake and its consequences will make it miserable."

For his part, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said, "Trump still does not realize the magnitude of the disaster he brought upon himself and the American soldiers with the martyrdom of our Imam, and he still imagines that he can impose his will on our people."

Ghalibaf emphasized in a post on the "X" platform that "the Americans erred when they thought they would not face a harsh response, and now they will understand clearly and forcefully that the fate of Iran is decided only by the proud people of Iran, not by the Epstein gang."

Pepe Escobar: Iran's Hidden Strategy: DEATH by a THOUSAND CUTS

In-depth analysis of Middle East escalation examines Iran's "decentralized mosaic strategy"-enabling rapid, autonomous military responses across regions. Iran's retaliation employs thousands of missiles and drones, progressively escalating to hypersonic weapons, targeting US bases in Gulf states and critical energy infrastructure. Gulf petro-monarchies reconsider US alliances amid economic vulnerability, potentially accelerating the petrodollar's decline. Russia and China provide strategic support through intelligence sharing and military cooperation, reshaping regional power dynamics. The discussion addresses BRICS tensions, India's controversial diplomatic stance, and Strait of Hormuz disruptions impacting global energy markets. Despite intense bombardment, Iran's preparation for prolonged asymmetrical warfare and domestic resilience signal a broader geopolitical transformation as US influence in West Asia rapidly erodes. Key themes include energy warfare, de-dollarization trends, and the emergence of a multipolar order challenging traditional Western hegemony.

Trump's Middle Eastern trainwreck - by Alex Krainer

It appears that the operations Epic Fury (U.S.) and Roaring Lion (Israel) are not going well at all. The campaign seems to have been predicated on a gamble: that a bit of kinetic action from the air, killing Iran's Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei (plus 165 school girls + 20 female volleyball players) would galvanize the Iranian people to overthrow their oppressive regime and usher in freedom and democracy.

Iranian missiles, drones dominate skies over the occupied territories: Military spox

In a video message on Friday, Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said Israel's missile system power has been decreased significantly after the Iranian Armed Forces succeeded in targeting the radar systems of Israel's missile shield.

He added that the Iranian Armed Forces have maintained their preparedness to continue heavier attacks on the "child-killing" Israeli regime and the criminal United States and will carry out more acts of aggression against enemies based on pre-determined plans.

IRGC deploys new-generation missiles in latest wave of Operation True Promise 4

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced the launch of the 23rd wave of Operation True Promise 4, highlighting the deployment of new-generation missile systems against targets in the occupied territories and US bases across the region.

In a statement on Friday, the IRGC's Public Relations Office said the latest phase of the operation was carried out earlier in the day as part of a combined drone and missile strike.

According to the statement, the latest wave involved advanced missile systems designed to strike multiple targets.

"In this wave, new-generation solid-fuel and liquid-fuel missiles targeted objectives in the occupied territories and American bases in the region," the Corps noted.

The statement said the missiles struck a number of US military installations across the region.

"The headquarters of US terrorist forces at the Sheikh Isa, Juffair, Ali al-Salem, and al-Azraq bases were among the targets struck in this wave," it read, referring to American outposts in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan.

The IRGC also said targets inside the occupied territories were hit during the operation.

"Also in the important and sensitive area of Be'er Sheva in the occupied territories, advanced technology centers, cybersecurity facilities, and military support centers were among the targets," the Corps said, referring to the occupied city that serves as the Israeli regime's technological hub.

UPDATE 1

U.S.-Israeli bombardment of Iran enters 7th day; Hundreds of thousands displaced in Lebanon amid Israeli assault; Trump fires Noem

  • U.S. and Israeli airstrikes pound Iran for a seventh day: Intense U.S. and Israeli airstrikes hit Tehran and cities across Iran on Friday as the war entered its seventh day. Huge explosions were reported in residential areas of the capital and in the vicinity of Tehran University. Witnesses in Tehran told the AP the airstrikes were particularly intense, shaking homes in the area. Blasts were also reported in Shiraz, Qom, Isfahan, and Kermanshah. At least 20 civilians were killed and 30 injured after U.S.-Israeli strikes hit the Zibashahr residential district in the city of Shiraz, according to ISNA. Two paramedics are among the dead, according to the Tasnim news agency.
  • Casualty counts: The death toll in Iran has reached at least 1,332, according to the Iranian Red Crescent Society. Children account for about 30% of those killed in the U.S. and Israeli attacks, government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani said.
  • Over 3,600 civilian sites damaged in U.S.-Israeli strikes: The U.S.-Israeli attacks have damaged 3,643 civilian sites, including 3,090 homes, according to the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, Pir Hossein Kolivand. In addition, 528 commercial and service centers, 14 medical or pharmaceutical facilities and nine Red Crescent facilities, have also been damaged.
  • U.S. and Israeli officials hint at escalation in coming days: U.S. and Israeli officials both suggested on Thursday that strikes on Iran would escalate. War Secretary Pete Hegseth said at a press conference Thursday that "the amount of firepower over Iran and over Tehran is about to surge dramatically." Meanwhile, Israeli army chief of staff Lt. Gen Eyal Zamir said the Israeli military "will intensify the strike on the foundations of the regime and its military capabilities." The Israeli military also issued a displacement order for residents of an industrial area of Qom, a seminary city south of Tehran.
  • Evidence grows that U.S. is responsible for deadly strike on elementary school that killed 180 children: There is growing evidence that the U.S. military carried out Saturday's strike on a girls' elementary school in Minab that killed around 180 children, including 168 schoolgirls, the majority of them aged between 7 and 12. An investigation by The New York Times using satellite imagery, verified videos, and social media posts, found that U.S. forces were most likely to have carried out the strike as they were attacking Iranian naval targets near the Strait of Hormuz. In a separate report, Reuters, quoting U.S. officials, reported that U.S. military investigators believe it was likely that U.S. forces were responsible for the strike, but had not yet reached a final conclusion. War Secretary Pete Hegseth on Wednesday acknowledged the US military was investigating the attacks, which ranks as one of the deadliest cases of children being killed in a single strike in memory.
  • White House posts movie montage glorifying war: As the war continues to escalate, the White House posted a video on Wednesday evening under the words "JUSTICE THE AMERICAN WAY" of what appeared to be footage of real military strikes and statements by War Secretary Pete Hegseth interspersed with a montage of famous movie clips including from including "Gladiator," "Braveheart," "Top Gun," "Tron," "John Wick," "Superman," "Transformers," and "Deadpool."
  • Trump demands Iran's "unconditional surrender": President Donald Trump said on social media that there would be no deal with Iran without "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!"
  • Iranian strikes hit Bahrain: Iranian strikes hit state oil facilities in Bahrain, including Bapco Refining's Sitra refinery, the country's only refinery and a major regional energy hub, Bahrain's Interior Ministry confirmed. Another strike hit a high-rise in Manama, the country's capital, and appeared to be a precision strike, targeting a specific apartment in a luxury tower where expatriates and business travelers often stay.
  • Iran launches attacks on Kuwait, where U.S. suspended embassy operations: Iran launched a new wave of missiles and drones toward Kuwait, with the Kuwaiti Army saying its air defenses were responding to hostile projectiles that breached the country's airspace. Air raid sirens sounded and explosions were heard during interception attempts, while sources said the incoming weapons appeared to target U.S. military installations in the country, according to a statement on X. The U.S. State Department announced it had suspended operations at the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait City and urged U.S. citizens to leave the country if possible or to shelter in place. Kuwait's Defense Ministry said two Kuwaiti Army personnel have been killed in attacks and 67 people have been injured.
  • Fighter jet appears to crash in Iraq: A fighter jet crashed in the southern Basra province of Iraq, according to local police, with the pilot ejecting before impact. Authorities say the pilot had not yet been located. Iranian outlet Fars News described the aircraft as an "aggressor fighter jet," though it remains unclear whether it was American or Israeli. United States Central Command denied reports that a U.S. jet had been shot down over Basra, calling the claims "baseless and NOT TRUE."
  • IRGC says it has more weapons, U.S. targets missile launchers: Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the country is prepared for a prolonged conflict and has not yet used many of its newest weapons systems, with IRGC spokesman Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini saying "the enemy should expect painful blows in every operational wave" and that "new innovations and weapons" have not been used on a wide scale. It was also reported Thursday that the U.S. and Israel are racing to destroy Iran's missile launchers and drone systems before their own air-defense interceptor stockpiles dwindle, according to The Wall Street Journal. War Secretary Pete Hegseth described the approach as "shooting the archer instead of the arrows," with U.S. and Israeli aircraft monitoring subterranean bases to strike mobile launchers as they emerge. U.S. Central Command reports that launches have fallen by 86 percent over the first four days of the conflict despite Iran's use of dispersed "mosaic defense" tactics and modified trucks to conceal its missile launchers.
  • U.S. and Qatar discuss acquiring Ukrainian interceptor drones: The United States and Qatar are in early discussions with Kyiv about acquiring Ukrainian interceptor drones to counter Iranian Shahed UAVs, according to Reuters. The talks are reportedly focused on Ukrainian technology capable of detecting incoming drones and disrupting their communications signals. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Washington had requested assistance in countering Shahed drones and said Kyiv would consider such cooperation only if it does not weaken Ukraine's defenses against Russia.
  • Araghchi discusses Iranian war aims: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi appeared on NBC News once again, where he discussed Iran's war aims and outlook. He said, categorically, that Tehran is not seeking a ceasefire or talks with the U.S. Aragchi said that Iran sees no reason to negotiate after the second round of negotiations did not prevent an increase in American aggression. Araghchi said that Iran has no intention to strike the U.S. homeland, and is focusing its attacks on the extensive U.S. military presence in the region. He also said that Iran has no plans to close the Strait of Hormuz, which he insists remains open, but that "all scenarios" remain possible if the war continues. "This is not our war," he emphasized. "This is a war of choice by the United States."
  • Trump touches on Iranian missiles, gas, and leadership: President Donald Trump echoed the claim of his military's top leadership that the U.S.-Israeli campaign has rapidly degraded Iran's military capabilities, claiming that "as soon as they set off a missile, within four minutes the launcher gets hit." He claimed that roughly 60% of Iran's missiles and 64% of its launchers have been eliminated. When asked about the effect of the war on the U.S. energy market, he told Reuters that he does not "have any concern about" rising gas prices. "They'll drop very rapidly when this is over, and if they rise, they rise, but this is far more important than having gasoline prices go up a little bit." In the same interview, Trump said the United States must be involved in selecting Iran's next leader, saying Washington would "have to choose that person along with Iran." Trump added that it was too early to determine who might lead Iran next, saying "everybody's in the mix," including exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi. According to a report from The Washington Post, U.S. intelligence has seen "no signs of uprisings or defections" during the early days of the campaign.
  • U.S. continues to eye Kurdistan for help in Iran war: Nearly half of documented U.S.-Israeli strikes in Iran's Kurdish regions have targeted Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps facilities and police command centers, according to a strike map compiled by journalist Evan Hill. The sites are concentrated in West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, and Ilam provinces. On the topic of the role of the Kurds in the conflict, Trump told Reuters on Thursday that it would be "wonderful" if Iranian Kurdish forces based in Iraq crossed into Iran to attack security forces there. When asked about the possibility of the U.S. providing air cover for Iranian Kurdish forces, Trump responded, "I can't tell you that," but added that the goal for the Kurds would be "to win."
  • War drives large-scale displacement across the region: The World Health Organization said the conflict is triggering mass displacement across multiple countries. Around 100,000 people have fled Iran since the fighting began, according to WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who said that up to 1 million people in southern Lebanon could be forced to move after recent evacuation orders, with another 700,000 in Beirut's southern suburbs facing possible displacement. The WHO also said it has verified 13 attacks on healthcare infrastructure in Iran since the start of the U.S.-Israeli military campaign, and has confirmed the deaths of 4 medics, along with injuries to 25 others.

Trump LOSES CONTROL as WAR FALLS APART ! - YouTube

Donald Trump's war in the Middle East is spiraling - and the damage report is catastrophic. The US consulate in Dubai, the CIA compound in Riyadh, and the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar have all been struck by Iranian drones. The New York Times confirms eleven US military facilities across seven bases took damage. The Strait of Hormuz - carrying 20% of the world's oil - is in de facto shutdown, with only three tankers crossing since Monday. Gas prices just surged 12-18 cents per gallon in 24 hours, one of the largest single-day spikes in American history.

Meanwhile, Reuters reports the Trump administration is holding an emergency Friday meeting with Lockheed Martin and Raytheon to replenish weapons supplies - despite Trump publicly claiming there is no munitions shortage. American service members are dead in Kuwait after their requests for anti-drone protection were ignored. Congress has been briefed and lawmakers emerged horrified, with no coherent war objective presented.

Iran's new supreme leader - Mojtaba Khamenei, more extreme than his predecessor - has been selected by senior clerics. Trump's bombing campaign, reportedly 2-3x the scale of Iraq's shock and awe, has failed to stop Iran from launching ballistic missiles at Tel Aviv. Senator Blumenthal says boots on the ground are not ruled out.

Trump's approval has hit 38% - a second-term low - as the US simultaneously conducts military operations in Iran, Ecuador, and Venezuela. UK PM Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron have both condemned the war as unlawful.

Trump says only 'unconditional surrender' will end war on Iran | Middle East Eye

12bytes: The president of Iran is still alive and i assume he's on board with the policies of the former supreme leader. Assuming the other replacements have not been compromised by the U.S./Israeli's, then there doesn't appear to be any chance of an unconditional surrender, especially since Iran is regulating shipping in the Hormuz Strait and continuing to obliterate U.S. bases in the Gulf. Can Trump really be this horribly out of touch? From what we've seen thus far, i think the answer is yes. Furthermore, Iran appears to be in a position to fight this war for a longer than the U.S. and Israel can last.

Writing on his Truth Social platform, Trump there would be "no deal" with the country otherwise.

"After that, and with the selection of a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s), we, and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making economically bigger, better and stronger than ever before," he wrote.

How Israel and the FBI manipulated assassination plots to goad Trump into Iran war - The Grayzone

Officials have yet to produce any evidence that Iran played a role in either of these attempts on Trump's life. Yet since those fateful events, Israel-aligned Trump advisors, Israeli intelligence, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself have gone to extreme lengths in order to tie Tehran to the plots. More shocking still is the fact that the FBI has manufactured a series of assassination plots, successfully convincing Trump that Iran was hunting him on US soil with highly sophisticated teams of hit men.

The man accused of leading the most significant of these operations, Asif Merchant, is currently on trial in a Brooklyn, NY federal court. After the US granted him a visa despite his presence on a terror watchlist, Merchant was in the constant company of an FBI confidential informant who ultimately steered the contrived plot to its conclusion.

Attack on School in Southern Iran Carried Out From US's Al Dhafra Air Base in UAE - IRGC

TEHRAN (Sputnik) - The attack on a school in the southern part of Iran was carried out from the US Al-Dhafra airbase located in the UAE, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Friday.

"The target was the Al-Dhafra airbase (in the UAE) of American terrorists in the region. The criminal attack on the Shajare Tayebe school, which led to the deaths of 165 schoolgirls, was carried out from this base," the IRGC said in a statement, as quoted by the Fars news agency.

Earlier in the day, the IRGC said the Iranian military has successfully attacked the US Al-Dhafra airbase in the UAE.

Iran Denies Asking Trump to Talk; Official Says No Negotiations Will Be Considered Until a New Supreme Leader Is Named

Since launching a scorched earth bombing campaign against Iran on February 28 despite ongoing negotiations, President Donald Trump has repeatedly sought to portray the Iranian government as cowering in the face of American might, appealing to him to make a deal to end the war. "They have no air defense. All of their airplanes are gone. Their communications are gone. Missiles are gone. Launches are gone. About 60% and 64%, respectively. Other than that, they're doing quite well," Trump quipped on Thursday. "And they're calling. They're saying, 'How do we make a deal?' I said, 'You're being a little bit late,' and we want to fight now more than they do."

Trump's claims that Iran has sought to negotiate a ceasefire with the U.S. are a "huge lie," a senior Iranian official told Drop Site. On Thursday, Abbas Araghchi similarly told NBC News that Iran has not had any communications with the U.S. through backchannels since his meeting in Geneva last week with Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.

No justification for US-Israeli war on Iran - Moscow - RT Russia & Former Soviet Union

Speaking to RIA Novosti on Wednesday, Zakharova stated that "although we are hearing claims from the US and Israel that they are even supposedly defending themselves... no one attacked them, no one threatened them." The Russian diplomat noted that Iran had always been willing to engage in negotiations with the West.

Moscow previously condemned the US-Israeli strikes as a "premeditated and unprovoked act of aggression" aimed at toppling a government that "refused to yield to the dictates of force and hegemonic pressure."

Commenting on the killing of Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in the first wave of attacks unleashed last Saturday, Russian President Vladimir Putin characterized it as a "cynical violation of every norm of morality and international law."

Hezbollah says it attacked Israel's Omeid airbase | Middle East Eye

Hezbollah said it carried out a drone attack on Israel's Omeid airbase near the northern city of Safad at around 15:00 local time (13:00 GMT).

The Israeli military said roughly 70 rockets have been launched towards Israel since midnight.

Military spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani said many of the rockets were fired from southern Lebanon.

Lebanon's health ministry says Israeli attacks in the country since Monday have killed a total of 217 people, many of whom are civilians.

Iran Intends to Fight US, Israel to 'Last Soldier,' Having No Other Choice - Diplomat

"We are under attack, under invasion by the Americans and Israelis, and they are trying to impose maximum damage on Iran. As we speak, my fellow citizens are under constant carpet-bombing, which is carried out by the Americans and Israelis. Tehran is under constant attack, and we have no option but to resist to the last bullet that we have and to the last soldier that we have," Khatibzadeh told the ANI news agency.

In a statement issued on Friday, the IRGC said the operations were carried out as part of efforts to target what it described as US and Israeli military facilities in the region, adding that the strikes were successful and had completely disabled the radar systems.

Iranian Strikes Set U.S. Base In Kuwait Ablaze, Hit Patriot System And Tanker (Videos, Photos) | South Front

12bytes: The U.S. bases in the Gulf are almost always reporting that all or most of the incoming Iranian missiles have been intercepted and only light damage was done by those that weren't, however the satellite images tell a very different story. Key radar installations are being obliterated across the board leaving these bases without advanced warning of incoming missiles and drones, thus making them even easier to attack in the future.

Note that there are more images, videos and information in the article than i published here.

Over the night of March 5 and 6, Iran launched one of its largest attacks so far against Kuwait, targeting Ali Al Salem Air Base which houses United States forces.

Ali Al Salem is considered one of the key airlift and logistics gateways for the U.S. military in the Middle East, hosting the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing. The air base is located in central Kuwait, roughly 15 kilometers west of the city of Al Jahra and approximately 37 kilometers from the border with Iraq.

Since the start of the American-Israeli war on Iran, the Islamic Republic has launched hundreds of missiles and drones at military facilities housing or supporting U.S. forces in neighboring countries. In Kuwait, Ali Al Salem was very much the main target.

The latest attack was, however, the largest so far, with videos posted online showing a massive fire at the air base after reports of multiple impacts.

Previous attacks had already caused significant damage to Ali Al Salem. Satellite images from Planet Labs released recently by the Institute for the Study of War revealed that multiple aircraft shelters and hangars at the air base were hit by Iranian strikes.

Other satellite images from Sentinel-2 and MizarVision show large fires at the air base earlier in the week, with more than 20 impacts.

Some of the impacts are in a section of the air base where an American-made MIM-104 Patriot long-range air defense system is known to be deployed.

More recent satellite images published by Iranian media also revealed that multiple domes at Ali Al Salem, possibly housing radars or satellite communication systems, were wiped out.

Iran has clearly dealt a large blow to Kuwait, and it can be even assessed that the U.S. military was pushed, or about to be pushed out from the country.

Iranian Strikes Dispel the Illusion of US Security Umbrella - 06.03.2026, Sputnik International

Almost all the Gulf states, including the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, that host American military bases or troops, have been targeted by Iran in the latest military confrontation between the Islamic Republic and the US and Israel.

The current war between arch-foes Iran and Israel and its all-weather friend, the US, has laid bare the hollow security assurances that the Gulf nations have been assured of for decades, retired Colonel Rajeev Agarwal, a West Asia expert and a Senior Research Consultant at the New Delhi-based think tank, the Chintan Research Foundation, told Sputnik.

"It was under this illusion that a large number of Gulf countries had agreed to not only buy very expensive American weapon platforms but also host American military bases in the region," he said.

US air defence systems intercepting attacks on Iranian Kurdish groups | Middle East Eye

US air defences are intercepting missiles targeting Iranian Kurds, according to the Kurdish Freedom Party (PAK).

"The US has reinforced air defence systems in Erbil to protect the area, its forces and its allies," PAK spokesperson Khalil Naderi told Middle East Eye.

"Though these defences are in operation, they haven't fully met the requirements for aerial defences across Kurdistan. Last night, we lost one Kurdish peshmerga [fighter] and three others were wounded," Naderi said.

Despite this, Iranian drone and missile attacks on a PAK base in Erbil province injured four people on Friday.

Based in exile in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq, the PAK is part of a coalition of five major Iranian Kurdish opposition parties formed on 22 February, just a week before the US-Israeli war on Iran began.

Iran Has 'Broken the Myth' of Israeli Military Power: Former Pakistani Envoy

Iran has effectively "broken the myth" of Israeli military supremacy, Asif Durrani, a former Pakistani ambassador to Iran and the UAE, told in an interview with Sputnik.

Despite decades of investment by the United States and Israel in advanced military technology, Iran successfully penetrated the much-vaunted Iron Dome defense system and struck Israeli installations, Durrani noted.

Durrani also condemned the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, describing it as a highly dangerous escalation. He stressed that such a direct attack on the leader of a sovereign state sets a perilous precedent, one that has not been seen in previous global conflicts.

Schools, hospitals, playgrounds: Iran's civilian sites hit by US-Israeli strikes | Middle East Eye

Since the launch of the US-Israeli onslaught on Iran, the country's schools, hospitals and even playgrounds have come under attack.

Despite claims by the US and Israel that strikes are solely targeting Iran's leadership and military infrastructure, Iranians on the ground are seeing their homes, hospitals and schools bombarded.

Many civilians are also dying in the onslaught.

Tasnim news agency puts the civilian death toll at more than 1,230 since the war began on Saturday.

US Failed to Achieve Air Superiority in Iran - Military Researcher

The US has been unable to suppress the Iranian air defenses, Russian Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences' member Konstantin Sivkov tells Sputnik.

The US, he points out, seems reluctant to send its aircraft into Iranian airspace, opting instead to rely on long-range missile strikes, which indicates that Iran's air defenses are still in play.

At the same time, Sivkov notes, Iran does not have the complete radar coverage of its entire territory, as Iranian forces lack early warning aircraft and rely instead on ground radar stations.

The US exploits this vulnerability by striking through these blind spots, while being well aware of the real danger posed by the Iranian air defenses.

INSIDE IRAN: What the World Isn't Seeing with Dr. Mohammad Marandi | DEEP FOCUS with John Kiriakou - YouTube

Dr. Mohammad Marandi joins former CIA officer John Kiriakou from Tehran to describe what daily life is like as Iran faces ongoing airstrikes and escalating regional tensions. Marandi recounts the fear and uncertainty experienced by civilians, the targeting of infrastructure, and the impact of the conflict on ordinary people. He also discusses how Iranians are responding internally, including large public gatherings in defiance of the attacks and a growing sense of national solidarity under pressure.

The conversation also examines the broader geopolitical context of the war, including Western media narratives, the assassination of Iran's supreme leader, the debate surrounding Iran's nuclear program, and the potential for the conflict to expand across the Middle East. Marandi shares his perspective on Iran's military capabilities, the strategic calculations on all sides, and what a possible end to the conflict could look like if tensions continue to escalate.

Israel punishes Gaza as it attacks Iran | The Electronic Intifada

Israeli forces continued to violate the fraudulent ceasefire in Gaza this week, killing Palestinians and reimposing a total closure of the crossings to humanitarian aid, food, fuel and medicine.

In the town of Bani Suheila near Khan Younis on Wednesday, Israeli soldiers shot and killed two Palestinians, Montaser Samour and Maher Samour. According to local news sources, an Israeli military unit abducted the two men and took them across the so-called yellow line, detained them, and shot them.

Reporter Tamer Qeshta captured video footage and eyewitness testimony from residents who said that the Israeli army returned Montaser Samour's body riddled with bullets, while Maher Samour was shot and killed in what witnesses described as a field execution.

6 Lies that Sparked the Current Iran War - Video #292

War is almost always started with lies. The average person doesn't want it, so they have to be tricked into supporting it. Here are 6 lies the Trump Admin used to unleash the dogs of war - a war which as predicted is already a regional war and could very well be the start of WW3.

Iran launches 22nd barrage as new generation missiles on way

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has launched the 22nd wave of Operation True Promise 4 with a barrage of Khorramshahr 4, Khaibar and Fattah missiles targeting the "heart of the occupied territories," with a senior official revealing that Iran has so far used mostly decade-old missiles and is preparing new advanced weapons for a prolonged war.

The IRGC's Public Relations department said the operation began Friday afternoon under the code name "Ya Hossein ibn Ali (AS)," according to Tasnim news agency.

This wave targeted American and Zionist regime positions from the Persian Gulf to Tel Aviv with the launch of Khaibar, Khorramshahr-4, and Fattah missiles, in retaliation for the child-killing perpetrators who murdered Iran's children at the Minab school, said the statement.

It added that one of the launched missiles was ultra-heavy "Khorramshahr-4" missile, carrying a 2-ton warhead and traveling at a speed exceeding Mach 14, which has been directed at the targets of the wicked enemies of the Iranian nation.

American and Zionist regime bases in the Persian Gulf countries, Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion Airport, and military centers in Haifa were struck by new-generation missiles, it added.

"The complete success in launching these missiles from the sustained chain of IRGC missile bases on the seventh day of the war nullified the absurd claim by the propaganda machine of the global arrogance about the weakening of defense capabilities and the reduced rate of missile and drone launches," it added.

War crimes in practice: The US-Israeli campaign against Iranian civilians - Tehran Times

MADRID - Over the past five days, the United States and Israel have carried out air and missile strikes across Iran whose consequences extend far beyond military objectives. The attacks have struck schools, hospitals, residential neighborhoods, and civic infrastructure. What is emerging is a pattern in which civilian life itself has been made the object of military operations. The destruction is deliberate and legally indefensible.

In Minab, Hormozgan province, the Shajareh Tayyebeh school was struck just as the elementary female students were arriving for Saturday classes. Rescue teams worked through the rubble to recover bodies, and local authorities announced that 165 graves would be prepared for the victims, most of them were between seven and twelve years old. In Tehran, residential blocks near Ferdowsi Square were reduced to ruins. The Azadi Sports Complex, a venue primarily used for public events, sustained severe damage. Hospitals and medical centers across several provinces also report structural destruction. Some of these sites were hit in patterns consistent with double-tap attacks, a tactic historically associated with Israeli operations, aimed at striking first responders and civilians who arrive to assist the wounded.

US-Israeli genocide watch: Rest stops, schools, hospitals targeted

The criminal US and Israeli regimes have killed dozens of Iranian civilians in strikes across multiple provinces over the past 24 hours, targeting highway rest complexes, residential neighborhoods, schools and even an equestrian facility, as the civilian death toll from six days of terrorism continues to mount, Iranian officials say.

At least 30 people were killed when two highway rest stops along the Qazvin-Zanjan freeway were attacked, according to Shahram Ahadpour, spokesman for the Qazvin provincial security council.

A missile strike on a residential district in Shiraz killed 20 civilians and wounded 30 others late Thursday, while two students were killed in their home in Tehran and several schools in the capital sustained damage, officials reported. Four border guards were also killed in an attack in Khuzestan province.

Israel: Profile of a Terror State - Global Research

Israel's crimes against the people of Palestine reveal a record of barbarism and cruelty unmatched in the modern world except for the unrivaled chronical of suffering resulting from murderous wars perpetrated by U.S. imperialism in Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Nicaragua, and beyond.

The offspring of the Zionist movement, the state of Israel, has spawned a history of terrorism as vicious as it is pernicious. Settler colonial projects are racist and genocidal. They involve the ethnic cleansing of native populations.

Netanyahu admits Israel's goal is the ethnic cleansing of Iranians - Tehran Times

Operation Epic Fury: Juvenile Fantasies and Colonial Ambitions on Full Display

On March 3, 2026, Iranians laid to rest 165 schoolgirls killed by US and Israel bombing in Minab City during the opening of Donald Trump's Operation Epic Fury on February 28, 2026. The US-Israel also assassinated Iran's supreme leader and military leaders, which was followed by Trump's further meddling in Iranian internal affairs by calling on citizens to overthrow their government. Notably, both aggressors launched the bombing campaign as Washington and Tehran were scheduled to have another round of negotiations, showing a repeat of lawless behavior similar to what happened on June 13, 2025. Also noteworthy was that these negotiations entailed Washington presenting impossible conditions to Iran, on the one hand, while wondering why Iran was not capitulating in the face of US military deployment.

While the US and Israel termed their attack as "preemptive," the Pentagon revealed to Congress that Iran was not preparing to attack, showing that Washington started a war of choice.

Viewers are encouraged to critically evaluate information from multiple perspectives when following developments in this high-stakes regional confrontation.

US Boasts of Destroyed Iranian Launchers Lack Credibility - Ex-DoD Official

As the United States is clearly lying about the number of the US military casualties in the current war with Iran, the veracity of other claims made by the US is dubious, former US Department of Defense officer David T. Pyne tells Sputnik.

Properly assessing Iran's losses is also difficult due to the fact that it is unclear whether US claims of destroyed Iranian missile launchers take into account the decoys and dummy targets, he points out.

"I believe that US estimates of the total number of Iranian ballistic missiles are likely much lower than is actually the case as I believe Iran may have tens of thousands of missiles in its stockpile," Pyne adds.

The Failure of US and Israeli Air Defense

While the US and Israel are delivering some punishing blows in Iran, Iran continues to successfully attack US military and intelligence targets in the Persian Gulf countries and is pummeling Israel.

Since February 28, 2026, amid escalating US-Israeli strikes on Iran and Iranian retaliatory attacks (including drone and missile strikes on US diplomatic facilities and regional bases), the US State Department has ordered the closure or indefinite suspension of operations at several US embassies in the Persian Gulf and broader Middle East region.

[...]

The real damage is being done to US military bases/installations in the region.

[...]

The damage that is being inflicted is far greater and more severe than the Pentagon is reporting. The most damaging result of the Iranian attacks has been the destruction of critical radar systems that are supposed to provide an early warning of Iranian missile launches.

[...]

The unknown variable is how many missiles does Iran still have in its inventory. The US is betting that Iran is running out of missiles. I believe that Iran's stockpile is far larger and more robust.

Hezbollah Drone Struck Hangar Housing U.S. U-2 Spy Plane At British Base In CyprusSouth Front

A hanger housing an American U-2 Dragon Lady spy plane at United Kingdom's RAF Akrotiri air base in Cyprus was damaged as result of a recent drone attack, The Sun reported on March 5.

The attack took place on March 1, just a day after the United States and Israel attacked Iran sparking a regional war. At the time, British Defence Secretary John Healey claimed the damage caused by the attack on RAF Akrotiri was "minimal".

A fleet of U-2s is permanently based at RAF Akrotiri as part of a decades-long spy mission codenamed Olive Harvest. Designed for all-weather, day-and-night intelligence gathering at altitudes above 70,000 feet, the U-2 can soak up signals intelligence, take detailed photographs, test the atmosphere for radiation from nuclear weapons tests, and even act as a communication node.

A photo obtained by The Sun shows a gaping 30ft hole in the side of a hangar used to house U-2s. It said that a fireball erupted from the hangar when it was struck.

Iran claims it forced US aircraft carrier to retreat - RT World News

12bytes: All it takes to put a carrier out of action is a few drone or missile hits on its deck. Whether Iran has the ability to sink one, i don't know, but it certainly has the ability to take them out of service. Mohammad Marandi stated the other day that Iran can indeed sink a carrier, but chooses not to due to the damage to the environment that sinking a nuclear powered ship would cause. Not sure i buy that, but it was an interesting comment.

Iran claims to have forced the USS Abraham Lincoln strike group to relocate with new attacks, while Washington insists the warships remain involved in the regime-change operation against Tehran.

In a briefing on Thursday, Iranian military spokesman Ebrahim Zolfaghari claimed the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier was "targeted by drones of the naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps" while the warship was engaging in military action near the Strait of Hormuz.

"It, along with its accompanying destroyers, left the area and has so far moved more than 1,000 km away from the region," the official said.

US-Israeli war on Iran backfires and reinforces national unity - Tehran Times

TEHRAN - Like the 12-day war against Iran last June, the joint U.S.-Israel war against Iran has strengthened unity among the Iranians.

The aggressors suffered from the illusion that Iranians will rise against the ruling system by capitalizing on the protests in early January.

As the 12-day war mobilized people with different and even opposing political views around the national flag, this time the Iranians are filled with greater angry against the Zionist regime and the U.S.

When the people are noticing that passersby are being torn apart in the streets by Israeli and U.S. airstrikes, they are becoming more united and show more disgust of the invaders.

Will We Have Midterms? "Trump Believes He is King": Since 2003 Israel's Debt Is Down 40% While America's Rose 550% - Global Research

Hegseth has just announced that the 3-4-day war that was then the 1-2-week war that was then a 4-6-week war is now an 8-week war - to be updated. The war insurance for the tankers that can't get thru the Strait of Hormuz will be picked up by Trump taxpayers and is valued at $1million per journey one way. Of course, should a tanker and all aboard be destroyed, the insurer's cost (taxpayers) is estimated to be roughly $300 million for the oil and $160 million for the tanker itself - not to mention the crew of 30-35 who would demand compensation. The pundits call this a win for Trump.

Trump severely miscalculated. Americans will pay. This is the new daily mantra as applied to tariffs, manufacturing, sanctions, and the economy. It is no different than his faux pas claiming the price of drugs would be reduced by 600%. This is the man who boasts he has never read a book. I believe him.

The Pentagon is now looking for an additional supplemental budget of $50 billion having lost $5 billion in weapon inventory. Despite Trump's media comments that he had enough weapons for 'forever', he now claims the US is running short. But you don't just 'buy weapons' that are in inventory at Lockheed and Raytheon, you contract for their construction. A period that can take 2-5 years. Their current inventory is roughly $13 billion comprising mostly missiles and defense systems on a backlog of orders totaling $268 billion. Giving them MORE money will not produce the backlog of weapons Trump demands.

Has Wall Street Lost Faith in Trump? Gas Prices Surge as Markets Tank, and the White House is out of Solutions as Imminent Inflation Looms

While the U.S. Stock Market had a brief reprieve yesterday, mostly based on Trump's promises lies to escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz and that gas prices would quickly drop after the war, the markets tanked again today when faced with the reality that Trump's assurances were just empty words.

The rich Arab Gulf states are being relentlessly bombed, knocking oil and gas production offline, and the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked, at least to the countries supporting the Zionist State of Israel.

And rising oil prices are not the only doomsday news coming out of the war with Iran in terms of the U.S. economy, as Big Tech is also taking a huge hit, as these rich Arab Gulf kingdoms are also home to some of the largest Venture Capital funds that flow into Big Tech and AI.

Richard Wolff & Michael Hudson: Oil Prices SKYROCKET w/ Persian Gulf Blockade -Who Gets Hit Hardest?

Analysis of Middle East escalation argues war justifications against Iran echo past false WMD claims. Discussion covers oil politics, dollar hegemony, and regime change motives, as attacks on energy infrastructure spike global prices. Historical context includes the 1953 Mossadegh coup and decades of interventionism. Speakers contend settler-colonial projects face stronger resistance in today's anti-colonial era, while US fiscal constraints-rising debt, military spending hikes, weakening Treasury demand-challenge prolonged conflict. Proxy warfare and efforts to maintain unipolar control may accelerate de-dollarization and strengthen BRICS alliances. Drawing parallels to Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq, the conversation questions military solutions' viability and warns of blowback risks for regional allies dependent on stable energy flows. Economic pressures, social program cuts, and domestic polarization compound strategic overreach, suggesting current policies may hasten, not prevent, shifts in global power dynamics.

The first 100 hours of the US war on Iran are estimated to have cost about $3.7 billion, or roughly $891.4 million a day, according to the Washington-based Centre for Strategic and International Studies.

The think tank said the early phase of the conflict is particularly expensive because it relies on advanced and costly munitions.

With President Donald Trump and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth indicating the war could last for weeks, the report warned the Pentagon may need additional funding beyond its current budget.

The Epstein Files: The Most Shocking Is the Least Remarkable -

On January 30, the US Department of Justice released 3.5 million of a total of 6 million documents related to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. But what do the Epstein files really reveal? It turns out that the "fine print" is both the most revealing and important, but has been drowned out by all the media flow's so far unproven assumptions and focus on sleazy sex details.

The files collectively reveal much more than even the most important individual revelations about individual rulers or events. They provide one of the most valuable insights ever into the activities and thinking of the kakistocracy. Kakistocracy means rule by the worst or least qualified individuals, something we have seen in recent decades, especially in the Western world. It is a word that should be used much more often. However, you will not see that word or any real reporting in the mainstream media, either about what lies at the heart of the many revelations or the larger perspective they are part of - simply because the mainstream media is owned and thus completely controlled by said kakistocracy.

October 7, 2023: Is Gaza-Israel Fighting "A False Flag"? They Let It Happen? Their Objective Is "to Wipe Gaza Off the Map"? - Global Research

Military operations are invariably planned well in advance. Was "Operation Al-Aqsa Storm" a "surprise attack"? Or was it "a False Flag"?

In the words of Philip Giraldi:

"As a former intelligence officer, I find it impossible to believe that Israel did not have multiple informants inside Gaza as well as electronic listening devices all along the border wall which would have picked up movements of groups and vehicles.

In other words, the whole thing might be a tissue of lies as is often the case."

A Tissue of Lies

"A Tissue of Lies" has served to justify the killing in the Gaza Strip of more than 35,000 civilians, of which 70% are women and children coupled with total destruction and an endless string of atrocities.

The cat is out of the bag. Netanyahu has tacitly acknowledged that it was "A False Flag" which was intent upon justifying a carefully planned genocidal attack against Palestine:

"Anyone who wants to thwart the establishment of a Palestinian state has to support bolstering Hamas and transferring money to Hamas," he [Netanyahu] told a meeting of his Likud party's Knesset members in March 2019. "This is part of our strategy - to isolate the Palestinians in Gaza from the Palestinians in the West Bank." (Haaretz, October 9, 2023, emphasis added)
