WW3 ALERT: Neocons Get Their Iran War - Ron Paul
From everything i'm hearing, Russia will absolutely defend Iran if it's attacked and China will also likely step in. Given what we've seen in Ukraine, the Red Sea and Israel, and given that the weapons technology possessed by both Russia and China is at least a generation more advanced than the U.S., such a war would be catastrophic for the U.S. and that may indeed be the overarching goal. For example, both Israel and U.S. governments and media are spouting that Israel was nearly totally successful in defeating the recent missile salvo by Iran when, in fact, the exact opposite is the case as is clearly seen in many videos. Someone from one of the U.S. ships in the region stated that 15 missiles were launched to target the incoming Iranian missiles which numbered around 200. When asked by a reporter whether any hit their targets, the person responded by saying that "we don't have that data yet". In other words, few or none of the U.S. countermeasures were effective. U.S. weapons have enjoyed the same embarrassment throughout the Ukraine-Russia war.
American Neocons Get Their Iran War as Congress Sleeps - Antiwar.com - Ron Paul
Over the weekend, the Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), General Michael Kurilla, arrived in Israel to "coordinate" with the Israeli military and plan a military strike against Iran. Think about that for a moment: one of the highest-ranking officers in the US military is planning a war in a foreign country against another foreign country which will be fueled by American weapons, American intelligence, and American tax dollars.
Did that foreign country - Iran - attack the United States or threaten Americans? No, it did not. What did Iran do to warrant a CENTCOM commander bringing the weight of the US military into play to plan a war - possibly WWIII? It retaliated against Israeli airstrikes including the assignation of a Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran.
Update, 9-Oct-2024: US Says It Opposes Ceasefire in Lebanon, Is Considering Striking Iran in Support of Israel - Free West Media
The State Department said Tuesday that it doesn't want to see a ceasefire in Lebanon and supports the heavy Israeli bombardment of the country to "degrade Hezbollah."
State Department spokesman Matt Miller was asked about comments from Hezbollah Deputy Sheikh Naim Qassem, who said the group supports efforts by Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri to reach a ceasefire without mentioning that it must also include a ceasefire in Gaza.
"Now that Hezbollah is on the back foot and is getting battered, suddenly, they've changed their tune and want a ceasefire," Miller told reporters.
Miller claimed the US "ultimately wants a diplomatic solution" but voiced strong support for Israeli military operations, which have killed more than 1,250 people, including over 100 children. "We support Israel's efforts to degrade Hezbollah's capability," he said.
