There is NO AGREEMENT! - THE ASIA PIVOT - 15-Jun-2026 (updated)

The bigger picture: It's not about Iran. - 12bytes.org
The illegal US-Israel war of aggression on Iran has nothing whatsoever to do with the fallacy of Iran pursuing a nuclear weapons program.
Larry Johnson : Is This Any Way to Negotiate?
12bytes: Larry and the Judge discuss the alleged US-Iran MOU (there is no 'deal'), Israeli spying on the US and Gabbard's resignation.
About the Iran deal and its durability
The cessation of hostilities and the opening of the strait is the maximum for Iran and the United States. Everything else: Tehran's abandonment of its nuclear program or a partial easing of US sanctions are the "wishlist" of the parties, which will remain the "wishlist"
Now it is written everywhere that these and other issues will be discussed at the second stage of the negotiation process. But it seems to me that both the Iranians and the Americans understand the futility of these discussions.
Why? Because they imply guarantees and obligations from the United States, for example. And Washington never gives them to anyone. Not to mention the guarantees implied by Tehran from Israel. That is why on June 19, a certain document (which we may not see) will be signed electronically. It's no coincidence, by the way, that no one can say for sure where the agreement is and where the memorandum is. Given the different levels of documents, the fate of even the preliminary agreements has not yet been fully determined.
Now the situation may return to the status quo, which suits both sides. Not least because none of them has the resources to push through more favorable conditions for themselves. It is no coincidence that Trump is already writing everywhere about his diplomatic victory and that no previous president has made peace with Iran. I wonder if he knows that no previous president fought directly against Iran?
And of course, nothing ends now. As long as Trump is president, Iran will always be under the gun of the United States. And Benjamin Netanyahu won't miss the chance to convince Trump to strike again. Or force him to strike. Maybe both. It worked before, so I don't see any reason why it can't work in the future.
Pakistan PM claims peace deal reached between Iran and US following intensive talks
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has claimed that a "peace deal" between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran has been reached after intensive negotiations, with an official signing ceremony scheduled for Friday, 19 June, in Switzerland.
In a statement released on Monday, Sharif said that under the agreement, both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon.
He thanked the United States, Iran, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey for their roles in the mediation effort.
"Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED," Sharif said in the statement, which he also posted on X.
Iran had not yet confirmed the finalization of the deal at the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump, in a post on Truth Social, also claimed that " the deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete."
"I hereby fully authorize the toll-free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!" Trump wrote.
However, Iranian officials have not yet confirmed the claim.
June 14: Iran, US reach MoU to end imposed war, to be signed in Geneva on Friday
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that a deal had been reached between Tehran and Washington to end the US-imposed war on the Islamic Republic.
Iranian officials also confirmed the development, saying a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed in Geneva on Friday.
BREAKING: TRUMP LIFTS IRAN BLOCKADE & AGREEMENT "REACHED"
12bytes: THIRTY NINE times Trumpstein has announced that an agreement with Iran was possible/near/imminent and the markets responded accordingly. A lot of money has been made from this cycle of manipulation of the markets. Meanwhile, the war continues according to plan.
Friday Catch up... The Iranians are Being Bamboozled Again
Iran and Pakistan are getting played for suckers. The so-called deal that Trump says will be signed on Sunday will not be signed on Sunday. In fact, there may never be a signing. Here is what the spokesman for Iran's Foreign Ministry said today (Saturday):
The Islamabad memorandum, which is currently being worked on, is aimed at ending the war, and at this stage it has been decided that there will be no talks on the nuclear issue. We must wait for the exact moment of signing the memorandum. Although it will not happen tomorrow, the possibility of signing in the coming days cannot be ruled out. However, due to the instability of the other side, we must be cautious when it comes to any statements regarding this process.
Let me remind you of Iran's original fourteen points that it presented to the US on April 8:
- Permanent and immediate cessation of war on all fronts, including Lebanon.
- The US's "commitment to non-interference in Iran's internal affairs" and respect for its sovereignty.
- Lifting of US naval blockade within 30 days.
- Withdrawal of US forces from around Iran.
- Reopening the strait of Hormuz within 30 days "with Iranian arrangements".
- Suspension of US sanctions on Iranian oil.
- US and allies to draw up reconstruction plans for Iran "worth at least $300bn".
- Sixty days of negotiations to reach a final agreement "based on nuclear issues and the complete lifting of" sanctions.
- Reiterating Iran's commitment not to produce nuclear weapons.
- During the negotiations, the US will not increase its forces in the region or impose new sanctions.
- Release $24bn in blocked Iranian funds.
- Establishing a monitoring mechanism to implement the agreement.
- Final agreement to be approved by a UN security council resolution.
- The final negotiations will not begin before the release of half of Iran's frozen funds, the suspension of oil sanctions and the lifting of the naval blockade. "Discussions about Iran's missile programme and support for resistance groups have been definitively removed from the agenda."
Iran to hold US to account for implementation of agreement: Araghchi to counterparts
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has discussed the agreement with the United States with his counterparts from Turkey, Iraq, Egypt, Japan, and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing US responsibility for implementing the deal.
Speaking in separate telephone calls on Monday morning with Hakan Fidan of Turkey, Fuad Hussein of Iraq, Badr Abdelatty of Egypt, Toshimitsu Motegi of Japan and Faisal bin Farhan of Saudi Arabia, Araghchi discussed the process and provisions of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding.
Referring to the responsibility of the United States in implementing the agreement, Araghchi emphasized the need for a complete halt to the destabilizing aggressions and the Israeli attacks against Lebanon.
12bytes: And there it is; there will not be any lasting peace deal because Israel will never agree to Iran's red line.
US must cut military, intelligence assistance to Israel to protect Iran deal: Ex-Trump official
A former official in US President Donald Trump's administration says cutting US assistance to Israel could help strengthen the agreement between Tehran and Washington, amid the Tel Aviv regime's continuous attempts to sabotage regional peace.
Joe Kent, who left the administration after disagreements over the United States' joint unprovoked aggression against Iran alongside the regime, made the remarks in a post on X on Monday.
Hebrew media: Netanyahu told Trump "Israel" is not bound by Lebanon clause in Iran deal and will not withdraw - Yemen Press Agency
OCCUPIED PALESTINE, June 15 (YPA) -Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told US President Donald Trump that "Israel" will not withdraw from Lebanon and does not consider itself bound by the Lebanon clause in the agreement with Iran.
According to Israeli officials cited by Yedioth Ahronoth, Netanyahu also informed Trump that Israeli forces will not withdraw from Lebanon and that the Israeli forces will maintain their current positions, continuing operations to neutralize Hezbollah threats, including the destruction of militant infrastructure and responses to any attack on Israeli territory.
In a statement earlier on Monday, Iran's Supreme National Security Council announced that the country had reached a memorandum of understanding with the United States to end the war following months of intensive negotiations, adding that the agreement would take effect starting tonight.
US President Donald Trump also announced earlier on Monday that an agreement with Iran had been finalized, congratulating all parties involved in the negotiations that led to the understanding.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he had authorized the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping and trade without transit fees, alongside the immediate lifting of the US naval blockade on Iran.
12bytes: And there's the 2nd red line; Iran and Oman will charge a toll for transiting the Strait of Hormuz. There's no negotiating this point. Again, this nullifies the possibility of any peace deal between the US and Iran.
Israel continues to raid southern Lebanon in open defiance of Iran-US deal
Shortly after the announcement of a memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran, which included the end of the war on all fronts, including Lebanon, Israeli occupation forces pressed ahead with their assaults south of the Arab country, violating the deal.
Thousands buried under Gaza rubble may never be identified: Red Cross
Pat Griffiths, the Red Cross spokesperson in occupied al-Quds said rescue and recovery operations remain slow, while the passage of time is increasing the likelihood that human remains will deteriorate beyond recognition.
"There is no doubt that these bodies could soon become difficult to identify," the spokesperson was quoted as saying by The Guardian.
He also noted that recovery efforts continue to face major obstacles.
