The Enigma Of The Fuhrer
When i think of Hitler i'm reminded of a quote in Neil Sheehan's book, A Bright Shining Lie, which is about U.S. involvement in the Vietnam war. The quote was directed at John Paul Vann but can be equally applied to Hitler: "Bright, clear eyed, such as he, shall freedoms young apostles be."
According to those who knew him well, Hitler was a highly intelligent, gracious, ethical, humble and generous man. I doubt the world has ever known a man more smeared by lies.
