CIA Is Plotting 'Bay of Pigs' Invasion Of Iran With Kurdish Forces, Islamic Republic Is Already Acting | South Front
The United States' Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is working to arm Kurdish forces with the aim of fomenting a popular uprising in Iran, CNN reported on March 3.
Multiple people familiar with the plan told the news network that the administration of President Donald Trump has been in active discussions with Iranian opposition groups and Kurdish leaders in Iraq about providing them with military support.
A day earlier, Axios reported that Trump spoke by phone with Kurdish leaders in Iraq on Sunday to discuss the American-Israel war on Iran and what might come next.
Trump spoke to leaders from the two main Kurdish factions in Iraq - Masoud Barzani, leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and Bafel Talabani, leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.
A senior Iranian Kurdish official also revealed to CNN that Trump spoke with the president of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan, Mustafa Hijri.
Iranian Kurdish armed groups have thousands of forces operating along the Iraq-Iran border, primarily in Iraq's Kurdistan region. Since the start of the war, several of the groups have released public statements, hinting at some action.
These groups are expected to take part in a ground operation in Western Iran, in the coming days, the senior Iranian Kurdish official told CNN.

Images Confirm Iran Struck Two THAAD Anti-Missile Systems Worth Billions In UAE | South Front
Iran managed to hit both of the United Arab Emirates' Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) systems, according to satellite images released on March 3.
The images show direct hits at the two sites housing the American-made anti-missile systems. Both are located close to the capital, Abu Dhabi. In the first site, a hangar where the system's AN/TPY-2 radar is usually stored appears to have been destroyed. Two more hits can be seen in the second site, including one near where the radar is typically deployed.
[...]
The THAAD was designed to shoot down short, medium, and intermediate-range ballistic missiles in their terminal phase by intercepting with a hit-to-kill approach.
The system can engage missiles at ranges of 150 to 200 kilometers. Typically, each system consists of six truck-mounted launchers, 48 interceptors, at least one AN/TPY-2 long-range surveillance radar, radio equipment, and requires 95 soldiers to operate.
A THAAD system could cost anywhere from $1 to $3 billion. The cost of the AN/TPY-2 radar alone could be as high as $500 million. Meanwhile, a single interceptor costs just over $12.7 million.
America intends to move its air defenses from South Korea - Yemen Press Agency
SEOUL, March. 04 (YPA) - The Korean Chosun Daily Newspaper reported that the United States intends to transfer its air defenses, including THAAD and Patriot systems, from South Korea to the Middle East to avoid depleting its stockpiles.
Military experts believe that the transferable assets include: Patriot air defense systems deployed at US bases in Korea, and THAAD battery stationed in Seongju, North Gyeongsang province, in addition to the MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance and surveillance drones permanently stationed at Gunsan Air Base since last year.

Mohammad Marandi: Tehran Under FIRE & Israel Faces OBLITERATION
Iran-US/Israel conflict analysis: Challenges claims of Iranian military collapse, citing effective integrated air defenses (Iranian/Russian/Chinese). Addresses civilian infrastructure targeting, Iranian public mobilization, and Strait of Hormuz closure impacting global energy markets. Examines US Gulf bases and Iranian regional allies (Houthis, Hezbollah, Iraqi resistance) actively participating. Critiques Western media narratives as biased and rooted in Orientalist perspectives. Iran's strategy emphasizes resilience, indigenous military technology, and long-term preparation over quick negotiations. Discussion covers leadership transition processes continuing amid hostilities, economic pressure through energy disruption, and regional power dynamics shifting as Gulf states face vulnerability. The conversation highlights Iran's capacity to sustain conflict, control escalation, and coordinate with allied groups across the Middle East while questioning the sustainability of US/Israeli military objectives.
Col. Larry Wilkerson: US Warplanes Downed, Tel Aviv & U.S. Bases ROCKED by Missiles
Critical analysis of US-Iran tensions challenges official narratives, arguing strategic miscalculations underestimate Iran's resilience as a historic empire. Decapitation tactics backfire, unifying regional forces across sectarian lines. Asymmetric warfare drains costly US interceptors while Iran employs cost-effective drones/missiles. Attacks on Gulf bases hosting US forces risk alienating Arab allies and destabilizing host governments. Potential closure of Hormuz/Bab el-Mandeb could spike global oil prices, benefiting Russia/China. Discussion covers evacuation challenges, munitions sustainability, and escalation risks including threats to naval assets. Warns that misunderstanding the conflict's nature-Iran fighting for survival-ensures prolonged confrontation. Suggests US actions accelerate global power shifts East, with domestic political agendas driving military decisions. Emphasizes unpredictable regional/global consequences as a deeply-rooted power resists pressure from a younger empire, with economic, diplomatic, and humanitarian ramifications unfolding worldwide.
John Helmer: China, Russia & the Iran War: The Nuclear Option
Escalating US-Israel-Iran war analyzed from multiple angles. Russia, aware of impending attack, issued no deterrent warning; Kremlin now debates supporting Iran versus preserving US relations. Conflict undermines Ukraine negotiations as US negotiators deemed untrustworthy. Lavrov warns US pressure may push Iran toward nuclear weapons, contrasting Gaddafi's fate with North Korea's deterrence. Iran's missiles provide conventional deterrence; their destruction risks Israeli nuclear escalation. Arab states remain weak while Iran's alliances endure. Rising oil prices benefit Russia. US faces domestic pressures: gas prices, elections, impeachment risks fuel White House splits. China's ambiguous stance-publicly neutral, possibly secretly aiding Iran-raises questions about Beijing's Taiwan strategy. War's outcome could reshape Eurasian power dynamics, with implications for global security, energy markets, and the future of diplomatic negotiations in contested regions.

West's Silence on Schoolgirls Killed in Iran Reveals Its True Face - Russia's MFA
MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The lack of condolences or expressions of regret from Western governments over the deadly strike on a girl school in Iran shows the Western world's true face, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Tuesday.
"Deliberately and knowingly, 160 or more children - young girls whose funerals took place today - were killed. And no one - not a single state department, not a single foreign office, not the Elysee Palace... none of the UK, US, French or German government bodies - none of them has expressed a word of regret or asked for forgiveness on their knees," Zakharova told reporters.

Funeral ceremonies were held on Tuesday for 165 victims of the Shajareh-ye Tayyebeh Girls' Elementary School in Minab, Hormozgan Province, southern Iran. Most of the martyrs are young schoolgirls, along with staff members and parents who were present at the time of the attack.
The school was struck on Saturday, February 28, on the first day of the US-Israeli aggression against Iran, when it was packed with pupils during class hours. The strike killed 165 people and left 96 others wounded.

Operation Epstein Fury: Iran
12bytes: Ryan made a number of typos in this article, presumably due to his eye condition. I fixed them.
Israel started a surprise attack on Iran which effectively dragged the US and the Gulf kingdom lackies into the war. The reasoning behind why they went in half cocked with the US only having one carrier in the Gulf and one in the Mediterranean seems to have been simply because the Israelis saw a chance to kill Ayatollah Ali Khomeini in his home after negotiations. Negotiations were never sincere, they were to make impossible demand and then use the rejection of that as a pretext to attack. Just like before Israel attacked before negotiations were finished. But Iran was ready this time.
The Israelis took out radar over Lebanon and then flew over ISIS friendly Syria and attacked Iran with assassination strikes. They call these decapitation strikes. Only Iran did not fold like they imagined in their fantasies. The Ayatollah became a Martyr and Iran immediatly retaliated on 27 US military bases, Israeli bases and US and Zio Embassies. Even Hotels where the Mossad and CIA fled to were stuck by drones.
Erbil in Iraq is being finished off by Iraq Shia Militia. The US 5th fleet base in Bahrain got worked over like Lindsey Graham at a San Francisco truck stop. The Kuwait airfields got pummeled and the US lost Three F15e Fighter jets, they claim by friendly fire. That is possible but debatable.
All the based from Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Oman, Saudi Arabia and of course Israel itself have been struck by a combination of ballistic missiles and drones. Iran fired its older stuff first. The solid fuel missiles were used sparsely the second day.
In response America bombed a girls school ages 6 to 12 and killed 171 little girls.

Iranian Air Defenses Are Shooting Down One Drone After Another (Videos) | South Front
Iran has announced shooting down dozens of Israeli and American drones since the start of the attack on its territories on February 28, releasing videos confirming some of the aerial kills.
Two of the videos released by the Islamic Republic shows Israeli Hermes 900 combat drones getting hit. Another shows a larger Israeli drone, either a Heron or an Eitan.
Plot twist: Israel not Iran may be bombing some of the gulfs oil infrastructure
Saudi and Qatar have captured MOSSAD agents that may have been involved in attacks on their soil. I am not surprised in the least. An all out war is what Israel wants. It won't be long until they nuke someone. Just wait.
People are still wondering if this is the start of World War 3. Yes would be my assessment of that.
These $30,000 Iranian Drones are Smashing Western Missiles - YouTube
Once, airpower belonged only to rich nations. Today, a plywood, prop-driven drone built from commercial parts can shut down a city. Iran's Shahed-136, costing as little as $50,000, is beating million-dollar missiles - and changing modern warfare.
We are republishing this vlog again due to its topical importance. Shahid drones have become even cheaper since we first released this from $50,000 to $30,000. Its economics have become even stronger!
In this GVS Deep Dive, Najma Minhas explores how Iran built a drone empire under sanctions, why Russia mass-produces Shaheds for the Ukraine war, why the West is scrambling to copy them, and how this "cheap swarm" logic is rewriting the rules of global security.
We'll look at:
- Iran's drone origins under isolation and sanctions
- The flagship drones: Mohajer-6, Shahed-129, and Shahed-136
- How Russia uses mass swarms to overwhelm Ukraine's defenses
- Why Elon Musk says "fighter jets are obsolete"
- China's drones vs Iran's - sophistication vs simplicity
- The economics: $50k drones vs $500k interceptors
- Export power: Hezbollah, Houthis, Venezuela, Sudan, Ethiopia, Russia
- Ukraine's own grassroots drone revolution - and why the U.S. wants that tech
- This is the story of the $30,000 drone that broke the logic of billion-dollar airpower.
Attrition Advantage: Why Iran Holds Upper Hand
The US cannot sustain a full-scale war of attrition in the Persian Gulf at the current pace of munition deliveries, veteran Russian combat pilot Maj. Gen. Vladimir Popov tells Sputnik.
"The Americans are operating 'off the truck,' [and are heavily dependent] 'on resupply,'" veteran Russian combat pilot Maj. Gen. Vladimir Popov tells Sputnik. "This involves massive logistics-lengthy and time-consuming processes. And it's far from easy to sustain that across an ocean from the American continent."
The existing stockpiles in warehouses and arsenals of air and naval US bases across the region, including Israel, contain a limited number of shells, bombs and drones, according to the pundit.

Lavrov Says No Evidence of Iran Producing Nuclear Weapons
12bytes: Of course not, because Iran never wanted nuclear weapons. This was never about nuclear weapons. There may be signs that Iran is interested in pursuing a nuclear weapon program now however.
"We still do not see evidence that Iran was developing nuclear weapons, which was the main, if not the only justification for the war. There are confirmations from the IAEA, as well as from American professional intelligence officers. Evidence that Iran has not produced or attempted to produce nuclear weapons," Lavrov told reporters after talks with Second Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Brunei Darusalam Erywan Yusof.
US-Israeli strikes on Iran tear through IVF clinic, hospitals and homes | Middle East Eye
Mohsen and Firouzeh have been trying to have a child for years and recently turned to IVF, using a clinic at Tehran's Ghandi hospital.
"The hospital staff worked so hard to help us," Mohsen says. "After 10 years of trying, we finally had hope."
But on Sunday, the second day of a devastating US-Israeli bombing campaign on Iran, a strike hit the prominent private hospital, reportedly causing "very serious damage" to its fertility clinic.
How Iran Can Defeat Donald Trump
Donald Trump and his national security team continue to push the narrative that the US is dominating Iran and that it is only a matter of time before Iran crumbles in the face of the might of the US military. Iran, apparently, has not received that memo and is pursuing its own course of action. We are now entering the fourth day of this unprovoked attack by Israel and the US and Iran shows no sign of weakening. In fact, Iran has expelled the US military from its bases in Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirate. It did so by launching drone and missile attacks on those bases and installations, which forced the Americans and their NATO allies to flee from those locations.

Murder at Dawn: How the Death of Ali Khamenei Exposed the Agony of US Hegemony and Pushed Iran to the Nuclear Threshold
But the effect was the opposite: a new generation of Iran's elite is coming to power convinced that a nuclear bomb is the only guarantee of survival. The tragedy in Tehran has not become a full stop in the history of the Islamic Republic, but a point of no return on the path to a multipolar world, where the right to life is dictated by missile systems, not international law.
The past 24 hours will go down in the history of the Middle East as some of the bloodiest and most pivotal. In the morning, when a missile strike struck the residence of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, in central Tehran, the world held its breath, awaiting catastrophe. By evening, it became clear: the catastrophe had already arrived. This is not merely about the physical elimination of a political figure-it is about the barbaric dismantling of a fragile system of deterrence that had for decades kept the region from sliding into a nuclear abyss.

UAE says 3 killed in Iranian drone and missile attacks | Middle East Eye
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) says Iranian attacks killed three people and wounded dozens, as authorities detail the scale of aerial assaults targeting the country.
A spokesperson for the UAE Armed Forces said air defence systems intercepted the vast majority of incoming drones and missiles.
"We have the capabilities to defend our security. We have sufficient strategic reserves to counter aerial threats."
The spokesperson said forces detected 812 Iranian drones and intercepted 755 of them since the Israeli-US war on Iran began over the weekend. Air defences also destroyed 172 ballistic missiles out of 186 launched towards the country, while 13 fell into the sea.
Forces shot down eight Iranian cruise missiles, the statement added.
What to Know About the US Airbase in Bahrain Just Struck by Iran
An IRGC drone and missile barrage hit Bahrain's Isa Air Base early Tuesday, with three missiles and 20 drones used to obliterate the base's main command and headquarters building and fuel tanks, per IRNA.
Not to be confused with Naval Support Activity Bahrain, the US Navy's regional HQ, which has also been hit and is located in the island nation's north, Isa is situated in the south, and serves as a key US support facility for power projection throughout the region.
Trump claims US can wage war 'forever' - RT World News
12bytes: And where will Mr. Trump fight this new forever war from? The U.S. has apparently been kicked out of its ME bases and it's navy appears to have retreated to the Indian ocean. Ammo is running out. Perhaps he intends to obliterate Iran on his social media platform.
Military observers have identified munitions availability - particularly air defense missiles - as a limiting factor in the ongoing US-Israeli campaign aimed at toppling the Iranian government.
In a Truth Social post on Monday, Trump dismissed such concerns. "Wars can be fought 'forever,' and very successfully, using just these supplies (which are better than other countries finest arms!)," he wrote. The president suggested weapons stored in other nations could be reallocated for Pentagon use.
Netanyahu Says There Will Be No Endless War With Iran
12bytes: Is Bibi the Butcher hinting at nuking Iran? "You're not going to have an endless war ... this is going to be a quick and decisive action," Netanyahu said in an interview with Fox News.
Israel plans weeks-long Iran campaign, no ground troops | Middle East Eye
12bytes: Good luck with that. In a few days, or less, i wonder if Israel will have anything left with which to defend itself. Perhaps they can borrow some stones from the Palestinians or collect the rubble left in Tel Aviv.
Israel's military says it has mapped out a campaign against Iran that could run for several weeks, though it does not expect to deploy ground forces at this stage.
CNN: The United States is running out of Tomahawk missiles
"A senior official said that stocks of missiles are being depleted, especially Tomahawk missiles," CNN reports.

In addition, the IRGC claims that more than 40 US military personnel were killed in the attack in Dubai.
Trump allowed the extension of the operation against Iran
12bytes: Gee wiz. Weren't those weakling Iranians supposed to piss their pants and surrender the instant the "mighty armada" started shooting at them? I wonder what went wrong (besides everything)?
"At first we thought it would take four to five weeks, but we have the capacity for a much longer period. We will do it," said Donald Trump at the medal ceremony.
Iran's new tactics force US to reconsider its capacity for pain | Middle East Eye
Developments on the ground have failed to produce the anticipated shock and public fury necessary to trigger internal collapse in Iran. As the war enters its fourth day, it has expanded horizontally. Instead of unravelling, the Islamic Republic's system has adopted a posture of resilience, while inflicting damage on locations connected to its enemies.
This is forcing the US and Israel to reshape their regime change calculations and assumptions about Iran's negotiating position. Following the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Tehran sees negotiations as a distant possibility.
Why Iran's Resilience and Asymmetric Tactics Caught US Coalition by Surprise
Iran has learned the 12-day war lessons well, Mikael Valtersson, former Swedish Armed Forces and air defense officer, tells Sputnik.
"The most important lesson from the 12-day war is that survivability is very important," Valtersson says. "You must have both a command structure and weapons capability that can survive intense enemy bombardment."
- The expert argues that Iran has demonstrated such resilience: Its leadership and armed forces remain operational and capable of launching large-scale retaliation
- Dismantling of extensive Mossad networks last year and the removal of opposition leaders earlier this year have further consolidated Iran's internal stability
- It also seems that Iran has managed to turn the attempted American-Israeli blitzkrieg into what could become a prolonged war of attrition
Two Allies from Inferno Attack Iran. Possible Consequences - Global Research
President Trump added that Iran had previously rejected demands to curb its nuclear program, which Iran says only serves peaceful purposes. This was apparently the reason and justification for this devastating infernal criminal act.
In full tandem with Israel, coordinated to the last details, it is a new war in the Middle East, one that looks like open-ended and nobody really foresaw - or is even willing to analyze - its possible consequences.
Netanyahu happily announces that Israel's Defense Forces (IDF) precision hit on Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei residency killed the Supreme Leader, as well as many members of his family. Predictively, this murderous act will not remain unpunished.
The assault on Iran is the second act of war, or war crime, in less than two months that President Trump committed - first Venezuela, now Iran - without the approval of Congress, which is in violation of the US Constitution. Mr. Trump is losing support even in his Republican ranks. The US Congress is split on Trump's actions and may launch a resolution to stop him. Overall, his aggressions do not fly well with Congress, which is not coincidentally carrying out an investigation behind closed doors about Trump's involvement with Epstein.
Apparently, evidence has surfaced from unredacted Epstein documents to which a special Congressional Commission and several judges have access, that Trump may have raped a 13-year-old girl. True or false? That is the question.
Rubio Claims There Was Imminent Threat From Iran
12bytes: Ah, so Israel was the imminent threat then. Color me surprised.
"There absolutely was an imminent threat, and the imminent threat was that we knew that if Iran was attacked, and we believed they would be attacked, that they would immediately come after us, and we were not going to sit there and absorb a blow before we responded," Rubio told reporters.
US embassies are under attack as a result of Iran's retaliatory actions against US and Israeli strikes, the secretary added.
He said that the US focuses on destroying Iran's ballistic missile capabilities and responding to the alleged threat by Iran's navy to global shipping.
IRAN CLOSES STRAIT OF HORMUZ + RUBIO REVEALS ISRAEL WAS THE 'IMMINENT THREAT'
Secretary of State Marco Rubio revealed that there was an "imminent threat" that pushed the U.S. to go to war with Iran-and it was Israel. He noted that Israel was planning to attack, and the U.S. knew Iran would retaliate against BOTH Israel and the U.S. So, the Trump Admin attacked first.
This, as Iran has announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, and the U.S. and Israel are bombing Tehran overnight, targeting everything from residential neighborhoods to Iranian State TV's headquarters...
