U.S. loses 4th F-15; destroyer + 2 more THAAD's hit; U.S. running out of missiles; Trump seeks ground war - IRAN WAR NEWS - 4-Mar-2026 (update 2)

12bytes: The genocidal United States of Israel (may as well call it what it is) is in big trouble. The war they mistakenly thought would topple Iran in a few days has failed spectacularly. Iran is hitting the U.S. bases in the region and knocking out very important and expensive radar installations and air defenses left and right. Meanwhile, Israel is getting hammered constantly by missiles and drones. Both the U.S. and Israel are running out of interceptors as a result, hence why the U.S. will apparently pull munitions out of S. Korea and elsewhere in order to replenish its dwindling supplies. And the kicker is that Iran hasn't even broken out its more advanced missiles yet other than possibly one or two here or there. It's been dumping older missiles and cheaper drones in order to deplete the enemy air defenses and this has worked exceedingly well. When the hypersonic's are launched, a whole new realm of destruction will be realized.

Iran is certainly taking a beating as well, but it has prepared for this exact war for the last 20+ years. Unlike Iran's targeting however, the U.S. and Israel are killing a lot of civilians, including 165+ school girls which western media refuses to report on, and hitting civilian infrastructure. It seems the U.S. and Israel may be running out of targets due to being partially blinded by Iran's destruction of key infrastructure. Obviously there was no 'Plan B' and as a result Trump and his CIA are scrambling at the last minute to arm the Kurd's and potentially other terrorist groups and prepare them for a ground assault.

Worse still, all exit ramps for Trump to weasel out of this mess are closed. While the boasting fat-ass lies that Iran wants to talk, the opposite is the case. Iran has basically told the U.S. to go piss up a rope while it continues its military actions regardless of how badly Trump wants to end the war. Regardless of what Trump does, the U.S. will lose this war and Israel will be wrecked. It doesn't even matter if the U.S. and/or Israel deploy nuclear weapons. At the very least, besides likely igniting a 3rd world war, Trump and Bibi will be blamed and their reigns are over.

As if that weren't enough, Iran controls shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and this provides them with a massive amount of leverage on a global scale. Furthermore, the Houthi's control shipping through the Suez Canal and, as Trump found out last year, there wasn't shit his glorious Navy could do about it. Prices are already rising across the board, not only for oil, and Russia will benefit from increased oil and LNG prices since they export both.

Trump has started a war that his "greatest military in the world" is incapable of finishing. His administration failed to learn the lessons of last years '12 day war'. It failed to defeat even Yemen's Houthi's who kicked the U.S. Navy out of the Red Sea, twice, and it failed to comprehend the resilience of the Iranian people and their military capability. As a result the U.S. Empire will suffer greatly on a global scale. Iran holds all the keys now.

Perhaps most sad in all of this is that Trump opened a war in which many lives have already been lost, possibly, in part, to shift focus from his intimate ties to Epstein and a rape accusation involving an underage girl.

The 'no war' president will be discarded into the dustbin of history as one of the biggest failures the United States has ever known, thanks largely to his unwavering support for Israel, and the world at large will pay the price for his stupidity. Meanwhile, U.S. defense contractors and bankers are getting richer.

Anti-Iran war protester breaks arm during fight in US Senate (DISTURBING VIDEO) - RT World News

An anti-Iran war protester was injured in a scuffle with a US senator and police after he interrupted a Senate hearing at Capitol Hill on Wednesday.

Brian McGinnis, a Green Party candidate in a North Carolina senatorial race and former US Marine, shouted slogans in the middle of a Senate Armed Services subcommittee hearing featuring testimony from members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

As three police officers and Senator Tim Sheehy attempted to remove McGinnis from the room, he grabbed the door and yelled, "No one wants to fight for Israel."

Video of the incident shows McGinnis' right arm snapping, while a bystander is heard screaming, "His hand, his hand!"

Exclusive: Iranian officials say Israel carried out some of the drone strikes on Gulf energy sites | Middle East Eye

Iranian officials have accused Israel of carrying out some of the drone strikes on energy and civilian sites in the Arabian Gulf, calling the attacks a calculated bid to spark regional fury and pull Arab states into the war on Tehran.

[...]

Two other Iranian sources told MEE that Israel's foreign intelligence agency, the Mossad, had carried out some of the drone attacks, adding that the Islamic Republic had detected their activity on Iranian soil.

They said that authorities were in the process of locating the warehouses used by the Mossad to store their drones and that Iran was committed to "taking them all out".

"We would not be surprised if there are such warehouses and operational rooms in other countries in the region that Israel would use to target our Gulf neighbours from," one of the sources said.

Mossad is known to have built up a deep network of agents, informants, and logistics in Iran, allowing Israel to carry out a series of attacks on high-value targets.

Previous attacks have included the assassination of a top Iranian nuclear scientist travelling at high speeds in a car on an isolated road with a remote-controlled automatic machine gun; malware attacks on computers running key parts of Iran's nuclear programme; and the theft of an archive of nuclear documents.

US shifting from precision munitions to 2,000-pound bombs in Iran war, Hegseth says | Middle East Eye

The US will begin using larger reserves of less-sophisticated weapons after assessing that Iranian air defences are degraded, US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said on Wednesday.

"More bombers, fighters are arriving just today. And now with complete control of the skies, we will be using 500-pound, 1,000-pound, and 2,000-pound GPS and laser-guided precision gravity bombs, which we have a nearly unlimited stockpile," he said.

Tensions soar as Hegseth and Rubio feud over US troops in Iran | Middle East Eye

12bytes: This is yet another sign that the idiots in the U.S. never bothered to formulate a viable 'plan B'. They're navigating this war on-the-fly and the disaster that we see unfolding is the result.

Tensions are rising between US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio over the US's approach to the war on Iran, three former US officials and a senior regional official familiar with the matter told Middle East Eye.

Rubio and Hegseth were described as "at each other's throats" over the question of whether the US should deploy troops to Iran at Israel's request, the sources told MEE.

Hegseth is supportive of the position, while Rubio is deeply wary of entangling the US in a long war, the sources told MEE.

U.S. seeks $50 billion emergency budget to replenish weapons stockpiles after its aggression on Iran - Yemen Press Agency

12bytes: And Iran is only beginning to deploy its more advanced missiles.

WASHINGTON, March 05 (YPA) - The United States is facing significant challenges following its military escalation with the Islamic Republic of Iran, with consequences that have reportedly strained US military resources, according to Reuters report.

Citing official sources in Washington, Reuters stated that the US Department of Defense is seeking an additional $50 billion in funding to replenish weapons stockpiles depleted during the conflict with Iran.

The request, according to the report, reflects the scale of munitions usage and the pressures placed on US defense resources.

The agency also noted growing urgency within the Trump administration, reporting that the White House is pressing defense contractors to accelerate weapons production and warning of potential penalties for companies that fail to meet output targets.

Exclusive: Iranian girls killed by 'double-tap' strikes on Minab school | Middle East Eye

The girls' school in Iran, where 165 people were killed by an apparent US-Israeli attack, was hit with two strikes, with the second missile killing sheltering survivors, two first responders and the parent of a slain child have told Middle East Eye.

"When the first bomb hit the school, one of the teachers and the principal moved a group of students to the prayer hall to protect them," one of the Red Crescent medics said, citing conversations he had at the time with survivors.

"The principal called the parents and told them to come and pick up their children. But the second bomb hit that area as well. Only a small number of those who had taken shelter survived."

Iran shoots down six Israeli drones - Yemen Press Agency

TEHRAN, March 04 (YPA) - Iran's armed forces announced on Wednesday it had destroyed six Israeli drones-mostly Hermes models-over the cities of Isfahan, Kurdistan, and Tehran in recent hours.

In a related update, Iran's ground, naval, and air forces launched drone strikes today from multiple regions, targeting US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, plus sites in occupied Palestinian territories.

Iranian media reported the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) firing fresh waves of rockets and drones at Israel in the past hours.

These actions continue Iran's "True Promise 4" operation, hitting US bases across the region and deep into Israeli territory in retaliation for US-Israeli aggression on Iranian soil.

IRGC announces blinding US, Israels eye in region; vows harsher retaliation coming

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced staging the 17th stage of its ongoing Operation True Promise 4 against Israeli and American targets throughout the region.

The Corps made the announcement in a statement on Wednesday, the fifth day since the launch of the operation in retaliation against unprovoked aggression against the Islamic Republic by Tel Aviv and Washington.

"With the successful destruction of more than seven advanced radars, the eyes of the US and the usurping Zionist regime in the region have been blinded," the statement read.

It also hailed bypassing the US's THAAD missile system, which has been deployed to try to protect the Israeli regime in the face of the reprisal, thus striking the building of the regime's ministry of war as well as the Ben Gurion airport, its busiest air terminal.

Attesting to the success of the operation, the Corps stated, was the continuous sound of sirens and the prolonged confinement of illegal settlers inside shelters across the occupied territories over the past 100 hours.

Epstein Plotted War With Iran

Ehud Barak became one of Epstein's closest associates, staying for extended periods of time at the billionaire's residences. The pair would email, text, call, and meet constantly. A search for

"Ehud Barak" elicits more than 3500 results in the latest file dump alone.

The pair would talk politics, and shared a vision of the United States attacking Iran. In 2013, with negotiations between the International Atomic Energy Agency and Iran stalling, Epstein emailed Barak stating, in typically poor spelling and grammar: "hopefully somone suggests getting authorization now for Iran. the congress woudl do it."

Epstein would get his wish in 2025, when his close associate Donald Trump began bombing the country.

How Iran war may accelerate the fall of US empire | Middle East Eye

For more than two decades, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been circling a single horizon.

He has warned about it, lobbied for it, and dramatised it at podiums from Washington to the United Nations. Now it is here.

The war he long argued was inevitable has arrived: a direct clash with Iran, carried not by Israel alone, but by the full military weight of the United States.

This is neither a limited strike nor a calibrated show of force. It is the most dangerous and reckless confrontation of its kind; a war not born of American necessity, not compelled by imminent threat, not sanctioned by Congress or the United Nations, but driven by an Israeli vision of regional remaking.

Another girls' school targeted in US-Israeli attacks on Iran

The US and Israel have targeted another girls' school in Iran, a day after the funeral of dozens of schoolgirls who were killed at the start of the unprovoked aggression against Iran.

The Director General of Education of West Azerbaijan Province announced that Esmat girls' high school in District 1 of Urmia was seriously damaged by Israeli and American missiles and has become "unusable."

"Fortunately, this criminal Zionist attack didn't cause any casualties," he added.

This comes a day after a funeral procession was held for the 170 victims of a deadly US-Israeli strike that targeted a girl's elementary school in the southern Iranian province of Hormozgan.

Iran's security chief: Does America come first or Israel with 500 US soldiers killed?

Iran's security chief says US President Donald Trump has inflicted a heavy loss on his country by launching a war with Iran that was only the result of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's warmongering tactics.

In a post on his X account on Wednesday, Ali Larijani, who serves as secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), said that the United States had lost some 500 soldiers since it joined Israel in a war on Iran on February 28.

Larijani said that the heavy loss has exposed Trump's deceitful mantra of putting America First.

"Mr. Trump, swayed by Netanyahu's clownish antics, has dragged the American people into an unjust war with Iran.

Now he must calculate: with over 500 American soldiers killed in just the past few days, does America still come first-or Israel?" he said in the post.

IRGC: 650 casualties for US military in two days as Iran missiles force aircraft carrier to flee

A spokesman for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says more than 650 US military personnel have been killed and wounded within the first two days of Iran's retaliatory Operation True Promise 4 by Iranian Armed Forces against US military installations and warships across West Asia.

IMPORTANT VIDEO: When you make a deal with the devil...you get screwed. I can't stop laughing.

Finally. Someone is getting screwed besides the American taxpayer. Wallah Snack bar! And at the same time Trumpenstein leaves our military exposed to missile strikes. Is this how the soldiers got killed in Kuwait? To protect the fake Jews? You know the ones with the pentagram on their flag.

A senior Saudi official just accused the United States of abandoning Gulf allies and redirecting its entire air defense shield to protect Israel - while Iranian missiles were actively striking American military bases across the region. The unnamed official told Al Jazeera that Washington left Gulf states "at the mercy of Iranian strikes" despite those nations hosting the largest concentration of US military bases outside American soil.

The numbers are devastating. According to Stimson Center fellow Kelly Grieco, the UAE burned through up to $2.28 billion in interceptors in just 48 hours defending against Iranian drones and missiles that cost Iran a fraction of that amount. For every $1 Iran spent on a Shahed drone, the UAE spent $20-28 shooting it down. And Middle East Eye reports the US is now stonewalling Gulf requests to replenish those depleted interceptor stocks.

Operation Epic Fury - the joint US-Israeli strike campaign that launched February 28, 2026 - was initiated from Gulf bases without Gulf consent. Iran retaliated against every GCC nation except Oman. Three American soldiers are dead in Kuwait. Dubai's Jebel Ali Port caught fire. The Fifth Fleet HQ in Bahrain was targeted. Kuwait's international airport took a direct drone hit.

And the country that started this war is reportedly prioritizing Israel's defense over its own troops and partners.

This video breaks down the full accusation, the interceptor math, the petrodollar implications, and why every US ally on earth is watching this moment with growing alarm.

12bytes: Ok, first of all, fuck the Gulf Arab states. They deserve everything they're getting for being an accessory to the illegal war on Iran. Secondly, they can eliminate the Iran threat by kicking the U.S. out of their countries and then they'll have nothing further to whine about.

New wave of attacks devastates key US base in Bahrain as Iran strikes back

A fresh wave of Iranian retaliatory strikes has crippled a major US air base in Bahrain, with strikes destroying command centers as Iranian forces continue launching firm response to the US-Israeli aggression.

"Ten key and strategic command points and equipment complexes of the American terrorist forces at the 'Sheikh Isa Air Base' in Bahrain were heavily hit by Iranian projectiles," The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said in a statement on the 15th wave of operation "True Promise 4".

U.S. RUNNING OUT of INTERCEPTORS: Gulf States DESPERATE for Support Against IRAN | Mark Sleboda

The U.S. and its Gulf vassal states are quickly running through their supply of air defense interceptor missiles, with Bloomberg reporting that the UAE is "projected to exhaust its interceptor missile stock within one week at the current rate of fire, and Qatar within four days; both are urgently seeking additional military support from the United States."

This, as the Middle East Eye noted that the Trump Admin is "stonewalling" requests for more intercepters, even as one anonymous former Gulf official told the outlet: "We have shot several years' worth of production in the last few days."

International Relations and Security Analyst Mark Sleboda noted that given the glaring shortages with U.S. munitions stockpiles, he was surprised the U.S. and Israel embarked on the 12-day war last year, let alone this latest attack on Iran. And the growing desperation from Trump and Netanyahu raises concerns that they could try to get the upper hand in this conflict with the use of a tactical nuclear weapon against Iran...

165 Broken Hearts in Minab: Is This Your True Face, West?

While politicians in Washington and Tel Aviv rub their hands together with the smug grins of overfed hyenas, in southern Iran, in the city of Minab, the earth has opened up to receive one hundred and sixty-five children's bodies.

One hundred and sixty-five girls, students of the "Shajareh Tayyebeh" elementary school, will never see their mothers again. They won't grow up and won't become doctors or teachers. Their flesh is mixed with the rubble of desks and textbooks because someone in the Pentagon decided this school was a military target.

This isn't just a war crime. This is a ritual sacrifice on the altar of their own self-importance.

Trump STUCK in IRAN WAR as Tehran REFUSES Talks, HITS Israel + U.S. Bases | Ben Swann

While Tehran has made it clear that THEY have been the ones refusing U.S. offers to negotiate, President Trump is now claiming HE is the one who told Iran it was "too late" for talks. This, as Trump is ignoring reports that the U.S. is facing a coming air defense interceptor missile shortage, and insisting that he's been told, "we have a virtually unlimited supply" of munitions.

Ben Swann, an investigative journalist and founder of Truth in Media, noted that not only did Trump campaign against more endless wars, but by going to war with Iran, he has now gotten the U.S. into yet another conflict where the question: "How do we get out?"

Will Trump Achieve Netanyahu's Goals in Iran?

According to US senators, the intensive nature of combat operations against Iran can only be sustained for a limited period of time. The attacking US and Israel are rapidly depleting their capabilities for active strikes, particularly due to a shortage of munitions for their air forces and air defence systems to repel Iranian missile and drone attacks. The rate at which munitions and air defence systems are being used is disproportionate to their production rate. Hence, it provides for Iran employing a tactic of prolonged conflict and inflicting a painful blow on the interests of the US.

According to Democratic Congressman Jim Himes, President Trump has no clear plan for ending the war with Iran. In this regard, the American publication The American Conservative notes: "In a protracted conflict, American troops will succumb."

CovertAction Bulletin: The U.S. Cannot Win a War Against Iran - CovertAction Magazine

The U.S./Israeli war on Iran could easily spark a greater regional conflict if it continues. Donald Trump at first said Tehran would be taken in 3-4 days, then a day later claimed the war would last no more than 4-5 weeks and threatened that the U.S. has enough weapons to fight "forever." Already, the bombing has killed 787 people, including 180 at a girls' school in Minab on Saturday as Operation Epic Fury began.

The US is losing to Iran

US Threatens to Launch Ground Operation in Iran

"I am more fearful than ever after this briefing that we may be putting boots on the ground" in Iran, Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal told reporters, referencing a closed-door White House meeting.

12bytes: Keep in mind that the sole reason the Democrats are 'concerned' is because it isn't their guy calling the shots. They couldn't give a shit about the Epstein situation during the Obama or Biden administrations. There are no fundamental divisions between the Democrats and the Republicans. The U.S. is ruled by a uni-party.

Rubio said that the US operation against Iran is ahead of schedule.

12bytes: That's funny. I thought this was supposed to be all wrapped up in just a few days. I'm guessing the "much larger and more intense wave of attacks on Iran" that Rubio brags will be "unleashed" is either a ground invasion by the CIA powered Kurd's that Trump is scrambling to mobilize in light of his catastrophic failure, or the deployment of nuclear weapons, though i suspect the latter is the less likely at this time, but with Netanyahu, who the hell knows. IF he doesn't keep the wars going he's likely to end up in prison.

"Everything is on schedule or ahead of schedule and progressing in accordance with the goals set," he said.

According to Rubio, in the near future, the United States will unleash a "much larger and more intense wave of attacks on Iran."

Earlier, the head of the US administration, Donald Trump, did not rule out that the military operation against Iran could last longer than a few weeks.

He also declared the Americans' readiness to wage wars "forever," since Washington has an "almost unlimited" supply of shells.

US Running Out Of Stand-Off Munitions, Copies Iranian Drones To Compensate | South Front

The American and Western style of warfare relies heavily on achieving complete air dominance, followed by devastating bombing attacks designed to cripple the military infrastructure of a targeted country. If that doesn't work, the US/NATO then resorts to unadulterated terrorism, targeting noncombatants and civilian infrastructure. During the early stages of the (First) Cold War, this approach was used against Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and numerous other countries. However, it never resulted in a strategic victory. On the contrary, it only galvanized the resistance of the local populace, strengthening their resolve in the face of American/Western terror bombing strategy.

According to intelligence reports, there was extensive fire on the decks of the two vessels, sending plumes of smoke into the ocean sky.

Iranian air defenses impose new deterrence equation over region - Yemen Press Agency

TEHRAN, March 04 (YPA) - In a significant development highlighting what Tehran describes as its growing deterrence capabilities, Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported on Tuesday that another F-15 fighter jet of the US had been shot down by the Iranian air defense systems.

The claim follows an earlier statement by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which said three US F-15 jets were downed near Kuwait.

Iranian officials accused Washington of trying to cover up the incident by blaming "friendly fire," asserting that the aircraft were mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti defenses.

Satellite Images Confirm Iran Struck Two More THAAD Systems In Saudi Arabia And JordanSouth Front

Satellite images released by Planet Labs and other sources on March 4 confirmed that Iran managed to hit two additional American-made Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) systems, one deployed in Saudi Arabia and another in Jordan.

[...]

Typically, each system consists of six truck-mounted launchers, 48 interceptors, at least one AN/TPY-2 radar, radio equipment, and requires 95 soldiers to operate.

A THAAD system could cost anywhere from $1 to $3 billion. The cost of the AN/TPY-2 radar alone could be well over $500 million. Meanwhile, a single interceptor costs just over $12.7 million.

Just a day earlier, it was confirmed that Iran was able to strike both of the UAE's THAAD systems.

[...]

Separately, Planet Labs released a satellite image showing heavy damage at the American-made AN/FPS-132 radar site near Al Udeid Air Base close to the Qatari capital, Doha.

[...]

Other satellite images shared by The New York Times show destroyed radar domes and satellite communication thermals of the U.S. military at Al Udeid Air Base, as well as at Ali Al Salem Air Base in central Kuwait, and the headquarters of the U.S. Fifth Fleet near Manama, the capital of Bahrain.

The latest images indicate that Iran didn't just inflict heavy losses on the U.S. and its allies, but also succeeded in disturbing their anti-missile capabilities.

The U.S. will likely deploy additional air defense assets from other parts of the world to make up for these losses. There are no guarantees, however, that Iran won't simply strike the new systems again.

Missile, drone strikes hit Harir US Air Base in Erbil - Yemen Press Agency

ERBIL, March 04 (YPA) - Videos shared on online appear to show fires broke out inside a US military base in Erbil, northern Iraq, following a reported missile and drone attack - the latest sign of escalating tensions between Iraqi armed factions and American forces in the country.

'Iran Crippling Mideast Communication Hubs Exposes Cracks in US Air Defenses'

The New York Times earlier published satellite images showing that Iranian missile and drone strikes had crippled communication infrastructure at several American military facilities in the Middle East.

"Disabling US radar stations in the Middle East is a serious loss because these systems play a key role in protecting American bases from missile threats," military expert and air defense historian Yuri Knutov tells Sputnik.

Did Kuwait really shoot down three US F-15s? - RT World News

The US military wants you to believe that its worst day of air combat losses since the Vietnam War was the result of a "friendly fire" mishap. But do some digging and that story begins to look far-fetched.

The US Missile Defense Shortage is Worse than Imagined

Donald Trump made a bold and provably wrong claim yesterday about the US air-defense missile inventory:

"The United States Munitions Stockpiles have, at the medium and upper medium grade, never been higher or better - was stated to me today we have a virtually unlimited supply of these weapons. Wars can be 'forever,' and very successfully, using just these supplies (which are better than other countries' finest arms!). At highest end we have good supply but not where we want to be. Much additional high-grade weaponry is stored for us in outlying countries."

I will now show you conclusively that Trump is gaslighting the public, at least with respect to the PAC-3 MSE missiles. The PAC-3 MSE (Patriot Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancement) is effectively the primary missile used in the modern Patriot system for most high-priority threats, particularly in current U.S. Army and allied operations as of 2026.

Veteran War Correspondent Reveals How to Tell When Analysts Talking About Iranian Losses Are Lying

"In every war, destroying a launcher is a very popular claim because it implies that the Israelis have reduced future attacks. This is a domestic and international message that 'we have achieved the main objectives of the military campaign'," says Elijah Magnier, a prolific journalist and war reporter covering Middle East conflicts since the 80s.

"But the standard of evidence it's another matter," the veteran observer told Sputnik.

"What is credible is before and after imagery. So showing an identifiable launcher vehicle, and they have to be authentic, not a decoy. And then geolocated strike footage, with clear launcher signature, and [a] pattern of fire decline consistent with launcher attrition," Magnier explained.

"The Americans and the Israelis can claim that they've hit a 'suspected' launch site and they've used this term a lot, which means there is no proof of a launcher present, or there are strikes on empty pads or decoy equipment," Magnier stressed.

Aerial Battle Heats Up Over Middle East With Israeli F-35 Shooting Down Iranian Yak-130 (Videos)South Front

UAE, Qatar intercept missiles and drones | Middle East Eye

12bytes: For every older missile and cheap drone Iran launches, multiple extremely expensive interceptors have to be deployed and their supply is limited. These shoot-downs are not a missed opportunity for Iran, rather they are achieving their goal of depleting enemy air defenses.

The UAE Ministry of Defence said its forces shot down three ballistic missiles and 121 drones targeting the country. Officials added that eight drones fell inside Emirati territory.

Meanwhile, the Qatari Ministry of Defence reported that its air defences intercepted 10 drones and two cruise missiles on Wednesday.

Israeli airstrikes kill 11 civilians in Lebanon - Yemen Press Agency

BEIRUT, March 04 (YPA) - At least 11 civilians were killed and 23 others were injured at dawn Wednesday following Israeli airstrikes on southern and eastern Lebanon, according to the latest local media reports.

Earlier, Lebanese state media said an Israeli strike on a four-story apartment building in the eastern town of Baalbek killed at least four people and wounded six others.

In the villages of Aramoun and Saadiyat south of Beirut, the health ministry said Israeli strikes killed six people and wounded eight others, warning that this was a preliminary toll.

Another Israeli strike also hit a hotel in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

The cumulative death toll across Lebanon has risen dramatically, with health officials reporting that from Monday through Wednesday dawn, Israeli attacks have killed 60 people and wounded 349 others. The figures represent one of the deadliest periods in the current escalation.

Oil tanker traffic through Strait of Hormuz plummets by 90 percent: Report | Middle East Eye

Oil tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has plummeted by 90 percent since Israel and the US launched their five-day onslaught on Iran, energy market intelligence firm Kpler reported.

This comes after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced it had "complete control" over the passage, through which a fifth of the world's oil is shipped.

On Monday, Brigadier-General Ebrahim Jabbari, a senior adviser to the commander-in-chief of the IRGC, threatened to "attack and set ablaze any ship attempting to cross".

This has largely halted commercial maritime traffic through the all-important passage, with at least four tankers struck and key maritime insurers cancelling war-risk cover for vessels operating in the Gulf.

European nations facing 'hell' over Iran war energy disruption - Serbia - RT World News

12bytes: The Strait of Hormuz is Iran's golden bargaining chip. Controlling shipping in the strait provides them with a huge amount of leverage that can be used later to force the elimination of sanctions and, potentially, kick Israel out of Gaza and the West Bank. While the focus is on oil, there is a massive amount of other commodities and products that are transported through the strait. Europe, already in a dire economic situation, will crumble if the strait is closed for much longer and prices around the world will skyrocket as we are already beginning to see. Lastly, the "closure" of the Strait of Hormuz is not a physical one; Iran does not need to physically block ships from passing. All they need to do is make it dangerous for shipping and the insurance companies will no longer provide coverage and this has already happened.

"We are entering an impossible situation. If this continues everyone in Europe will have a literal hell," he told journalists. "Unless the Strait of Hormuz is opened, oil prices will kill us all." Belgrade is preparing to roll out fuel subsidies and is fortunate to have significant reserves, Vucic added.

Thousands of commercial ships are reportedly unable to transit the strait due to ongoing hostilities. Iranian forces have threatened to attack any vessel attempting to cross and have reportedly struck several oil tankers.

Tehran aims to raise the cost of the attack for the US and its allies. "The Americans, with debts of thousands of billions of dollars, are dependent on the region's oil, but they should know that not even a drop of oil will reach them," Ebrahim Jabari, a commander in Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), told local media.

US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that Washington intends to offer insurance "at a very reasonable price" and possibly naval escorts to ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

While the unfolding energy slump poses a global risk, US allies in Europe are particularly vulnerable due to their politically motivated rejection of Russian supplies and reliance on LNG imports, including from Qatar.

The administration of US President Donald Trump is considering the possibility of providing military protection to oil and gas tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The goal is to curb the rise in energy prices, writes Politico, citing sources.

The Trump-Netanyahu attack is a multiple whammy: distracting from Congressional behind-closed-doors investigation of Trump's possible involvement with Epstein's pedophilia; Netanyahu's dream of annihilating Iran; Trump's attempt to hurt China's economy in favor of the US by increasing energy prices, disrupting supply chains ... and most certainly more.
