12-Jun-2025 update: Exclusive: US, Israel will be caught by 'surprise' if Iran attacked, says senior security official
"Iran is currently at its highest level of military readiness, and if the United States or the Zionist regime attempts any act of aggression, they will be caught by surprise," the official, who did not wish to be named, told Press TV.

US officials cited heightened tensions in the region and intelligence suggesting that Israel may be preparing a strike on Iranian nuclear facilities, prompting fears of Iranian retaliation against American assets in the region.
The reason i mention the Press TV article is because of the following rather curious statement:
"Iran is now capable of catching its enemies by surprise by launching deadly preemptive strikes before any hostile movement on their part," the official said.
I haven't read the Russia-Iran defense agreement, but my understanding is that Russia is not likely to come to Iran's aid should Iran strike first. The article continues:
In a statement on Monday, Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) said the country will hit Israel's secret nuclear facilities if the regime carries out any act of aggression against the Islamic Republic.
The SNSC said the complex intelligence operation was part of Iran's broader plan and covert acts to counter the enemies' propaganda.
Any potential strike by Israel on Iran's nuclear facilities would derail the ongoing talks between Iran and the US to find a replacement to the 2015 nuclear agreement, which President Trump unilaterally withdrew the US from during his first term in office.
In another article from Press TV, Any aggression against Iran will spark regional war, Ansarullah warns US, Israel, we read:
Yemen's Ansarullah resistance movement has cautioned the United States and Israel against any act of aggression against Iran, saying such a move will spark a regional war, says a report.
A source within Ansarullah, speaking to the American weekly news magazine Newsweek, issued the warning on Wednesday amid reports that the US is evacuating nonessential personnel and their family members from West Asian countries in anticipation of an Israeli strike against Iran.
Israel, alone, cannot attack Iran and survive, however it won't have to stand alone because the U.S. will obviously come to its aid and thus both will be defeated. At this time, to my knowledge, neither Israel nor the U.S. are able to intercept the Iranian and Russian hyper-sonic missiles which, on 1-Oct-2024, clearly demonstrated that Israel's "Iron Dome" missile defense system offers about as much protection as a screen door against these new threats.

Is Donald Trump Starting World War III with Iran?
Donald Trump apparently has decided to attack Iran. Mark this date. It is the beginning of the end of the Trump Presidency. Trump has been persuaded that the Iranian air defense is weak and that a US bombing run will eliminate any chance that Iran can build a nuclear device. He has been a victim of lies. He will shortly discover, if these attacks take place, that Iran retains a significant capability to shoot down US aircraft. In fact, I fully expect Iran will capture and put on display several US air force officers in the next week.

If Trump launches this attack, Iran will retaliate against US bases and Israel. Israel, for the first time in 77 years, will suffer devastating losses. If Trump thought the Houthis were a tough customer, he's going to learn a hard lesson with Iran.
Israel is the worlds hemorrhoid and it needs to be surgically castrated. Unfortunately i don't see that happening through war given that that this genocidal beast has a plethora of undeclared nuclear weapons.

His statement about destroying Iran's critical infrastructure seems odd given that we both know that Iran has been preparing for decades for a war with the U.S. and thus much its critical military infrastructure is deep underground.
